Farin ruwa falls... Nigeria's natural wonder #4
Farin ruwa falls is located 120km from Lafia, Nasarawa’s state capital. It’s source is on the Jos Plateau.
It reaches a height of 150m and is one of the tallest waterfalls in Nigeria. The waterfall is surrounded by thick forest making it a haven for eco-tourism.
Interestingly, farin ruwa falls is taller than Victoria Falls, the most revered waterfall in Africa.
Farin ruwa means ‘white water’ in Hausa language. The fall gained this name from the power and appearance of the gushing water.
For those keen on bird watching, over 148 species have been found in the area around the park, 15 been of conservation importance.
