Do you happen to know if all the willow varieties work the same?
There are what is commonly called river willows that grow around here. They aren't big trees. Some people make furniture out of them...

Yep. There are 400 different sorts out there but all of them have high quantities of salicylic acid in the bark which aids in pain relief and reduction of inflammation. To much of it though can give you an upset stomach so the best way to use it is as a tea.
