Greed

In a world of never ending lust, in a search for more for me
Theyll cheat and decieve, their fellow friends. For what theyve got is not enough.
There`s so much to have and they want it all.

They will work more, they will cheat more.
They cannot stop for the want of more.
They have no time but that dont matter, for theyve got money and plenty of it.

If they cant earn more, theyll double what they have.
They will gamble whats not theirs, to win or lose for more, with money thats not theirs,
with money earnt from toll and sweat.
If they don`t look, they cannot know,
what their need for more has done to others.

But when they lay asleep at night,
their minds cant rest, it comes to light. Theyll turn and twist, sweat and talk,
inside their beds, inside their heads.

For evil done, one day returns.
To let you know what you have done,
and what you have that isnt yours, that isnt needed.
Won`t help you when your time draws nearer.
So leave your greed for the want of more,
behind, behind for good, behind forever.

Learn to give again and not to take.
Appreciate the day, and all it has to offer.
To have less, is to have more,
Be thankful for the air you breathe, and the water that you drink,
and start to look at the little things you have,
and not the luxuries you haven`t.
For the want of more just never ends, it just goes on and on.
