You are right that the house will win at the end as long as they take the house edge but it is regard to your luck if you can win or not. The algo is up to you if you can set your own script but I am doing a simple martingale strategy which I set with 46% chance to win each round starting from 0.1STEEM as a base bet.
I run the bot for like 10hrs now and here is my stats so far.
I am on a profit for 320STEEM now which is quite good but there was a moment that I lose for 12 times in a row which means I had to spend 800STEEM and I was almost to lose all of this amount.
If you are doing martingale, you will need enough amount of STEEM to win.
