Once upon a time...
...there was an old man and woman who
lived together in a small village beside the margin of a jungle.
They were a very good-hearted couple, but were sad because they had no children in their own.
(ဟိုးအေရွးေရွးသေရာတုန္းကအခါ, ေတာနက္ၾကီးေဘးနားက ရြာငယ္ေလးတစ္ရြာမွာ အဘိုးအိုတစ္ေယာက္နဲ႕
အဖြားအိုတစ္ေယာက္ရိွခဲ့တယ္။သူတို႕ေတြဟာ အလြန္ၾကင္နာေသာ လင္မယား ျဖစ္ေသာ္ၿငားလဲပဲ၊ သူတို႕ကိုယ္ပိုင္
ကေလးဆိုတာမရိွပါ)
One day, the old man went to the jungle to trim
some trees, while his wife carried their clothes to the
stream for washing. While the woman was washing
her clothes, she was amazed as she saw a big peach
floating towards her down the river.
(တစ္ရက္မွာ အဖိုးအိုက သစ္ပင္ေတြကိုခုတ္ဖို႕ ေတာနက္ထဲကိုသြားခဲ့တယ္၊
သူ႕မိန္းမကေတာ့ သူတို႕ရဲ႕ အ၀တ္ေတြကိုေလွ်ာ္ဖြတ္ဖို႕အတြက္ စမ္းေခ်ာင္းကို
သြားခဲ့တယ္။အဘြားအို အ၀တ္ေလွ်ာ္ေနတုန္း ျမစ္ေအာက္ကိုဆင္းပီး သူ႕မဆီကို
ေမွ်ာပီးစီးဆင္းလာတဲ့ ၾကီးမားတဲ့မက္မြန္သီးတစ္လံုးကိုေတြ႕ခဲ့တယ္။)
"Wow, that is a giant peach.Come here ,you big peach!"
shouted the woman.Slowly, as if by magic,
the peach went to where she was on the stream bank.
"This is a wonderful peach," she said,picking up the giant fruit
out of the water.The old woman strained to lift the peach, and
had a lot of troubles to carry it back to her house.That night,the old man returned from the jungle,starving
and the dinner was ready."Whoa," he said, looking at the peach. "That's the
largest peach I've ever seen. It looks tasteful!"
("ေ၀ါင္း!!! ၾကီးလိုက္တဲ့မက္မြန္သီးပဲကြယ္၊ဒီကိုလာစမ္း,မက္မြန္သီးေလး" လို႕ အဖြားအိုက ေအာ္ေျပာတယ္။
ေၿဖးေၿဖးနဲ႕ ေမွာ္အစြမ္းေၾကာင့္ မက္မြန္သီးေလးဟာ သူမရိွတဲ့ စမ္းေခ်ာင္းနံေဘးဆီကို တည့္စီးဆင္းခဲ့တယ္။
"အံဖြယ္ မက္မြန္သီးပဲကြယ္ "လို႕ ေရထဲက ဆယ္ရင္း ေျပာတယ္။ အဖြားအိုေလးဟာ မက္မြန္သီးကိုမဖို႕ အားသြန္ခြန္စိုက္တယ္၊ေနာက္
သူ႕မ အိမ္ကိုျပန္သယ္လာဖို႕အတြက္ ဒုက္ခေတာ္ေတာ္ေရာက္ခဲ့တယ္။အဲ့ဒီညမွာပဲ အဖိုးအိုဟာ ဆာေလာင္မြတ္သိပ္ရင္းနဲ႕ ေတာနက္ထဲက
ေန အိမ္ဆီကို ျပန္လာခဲ့တယ္ ၊အိမ္မွာေတာ့ ညစာ ဟာ အဆင္သင့္ျဖစ္ေနပါပီး။" ဟာ့ "လို႕ မက္မြန္သီးကိုၾကည့္ရင္းနဲ႕ " ငါျမင္ဖူးသမွ်
မက္မြန္သီးေတြထဲမွာေတာ့ ဒီအလံုးဟာအၾကီးဆံုးပဲျဖစ္တယ္။အရသာရိွမယ့္ပံုပဲ။" လို႕ေျပာခဲ့တယ္။
The old woman started to cut and opened the peach,
when she heard a cry from inside. At once, the
pit cracked ,opened and popped out a adorable baby
boy. Both of them were so amazed, but also so happy because
they had a son of their own. They decided to name him
"Momotaro," or "Little Peachling." because he came from a peach.
(အဘြားအိုေလးဟာ မက္မြန္သီးထဲကေန ငိုသံကိုၾကားလို႕ စခြဲပီးဖြင့္ခဲ့တယ္။ခ်က္ခ်င္းပဲ.....
အခြံဟာ အက္ကြဲ၊ ဖြင့္ ၊ လွပေခ်ာေမာတဲ့ သားေယာက္က်ားေလးတစ္ေယာက္ေမြးဖြားလာခဲ့တယ္။
သူတို႕ႏွစ္ေယာက္ဟာ အလြန္အမင္း အံ့ၾသသြားေပမယ့္ ေပ်ာ္လည္းေပ်ာ္တယ္၊ဘာေၾကာင့္လဲဆိုေတာ့
သူတို႕ရဲ႕ကို္ယ္ပိုင္ သားေလးတစ္ေယာက္ရိွေနလို႕ပါပဲ။ သူတို႕ဟာ ေကာင္ေလးကို "မိုမိုတာေရာ" သုို႕မဟုတ္ "မက္မြန္သီးေလး"
လို႕အမည္ေပးခဲ့တယ္၊ အေၾကာင္းရင္းကေတာ့ သူဟာ မက္မြန္သီးထဲကေန ေမြးဖြားလာလို႕ပါ။)
Because Momotaros's new mother and father always gave him excellent food, he eat well and
began to grow. Momotaro especially enjoyed his mother's spinach dumplings, that gave him
unbelievable strength.

သူစား၀င္ပီး စထြားလာတယ္။ မိုမိုတာေရာဟာ အထူးသၿဖင့္ သူအေမရဲ႕ ဟင္းႏုႏြယ္ရြက္ဖက္ထုပ္ ကိုၾကိဳက္ႏွစ္သက္တယ္၊
အဲ့ဒီဟင္းလ်ာဟာ သူ႕ကို မယံုနိုင္ေလာက္ေအာင္ ခြန္အားဗလကို ေပးတယ္။)
One day, Momotaro walked to the village with his
father.While they were looking for rice to buy for their dinner,
he overheard a man talking about three demons that
were giving a lot of troubles to the land. They lived on Devil's
Island, he said, and would come through the sea to
rob the villagers’ homes and plunder their food and
money.Momotaro was a very lion-hearted boy, and decided at
once to go to Devil's Island and strike these demons.

သူတို႕ေတြဟာ မိစာၧ ကၽြန္းေပၚမွာ ေနထိုင္က်က္စားတယ္လို႕ သူေျ႔ပာတယ္၊ ေနာက္ ရြာေတြကို ဓားျပတိုက္၊
အစားအစာေတြ ၊ေငြေတြကို လုယူဖို႕ ပင္လယ္ကို ျဖတ္ေက်ာ္လာေနပီးလို႕ ထပ္ေျပာတယ္။
