ইমাম নাওয়াভী বলেন: সালামের
সর্বনিম্ন শব্দ হল: ( ﺍﻟﺴﻼﻡ ﻋﻠﻴﻜﻢ )
আসসালামু আলাইকুম বলা। যাকে
সালাম দেয়া হচ্ছে সে যদি একক
ব্যক্তি হয়, তবে তার জন্য সর্ব নিম্ন
শব্দ হল: ( ﺍﻟﺴﻼﻡ ﻋﻠﻴﻚ ) আসসালামু
আলায়কা বলা। তবে এক্ষেত্রে উত্তম
হল ( ﺍﻟﺴﻼﻡ ﻋﻠﻴﻜﻢ ) বলা যাতে করে এ
সালাম তাকে ও তার দুই
ফেরেশতাকেও শামিল করে। এর
চেয়েও পূর্ণাঙ্গরূপ হল: ( ﻭﺭﺣﻤﺔ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ) ওয়া
রহমাতুল্লাহ বৃদ্ধি করে বলা, অনুরূপ
ভাবে (ﻭﺑﺮﻛﺎﺗﻪ ) ওয়া বারাকাতুহু শব্দ
বৃদ্ধি করে বলা আরও উত্তম। যদি কেউ
( ﺳﻼﻡ ﻋﻠﻴﻜﻢ ) সালামুন আলাইকুম বলে
তবুও তা তার জন্য যথেষ্ট হবে।
সালামের জবাব:
ইমাম নাওয়াভী বলেন: সালামের
জওয়াব দেয়ার সর্বোত্তম ও পূর্নাঙ্গ
পদ্ধতি হল: ( ﻭﻋﻠﻴﻜﻢ ﺍﻟﺴﻼﻡ ﻭﺭﺣﻤﺔ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ
ﻭﺑﺮﻛﺎﺗﻪ )ওয়া আলাইকুমাসসালাম ওয়া
রহমাতুল্লাহে ওয়া বারাকাতুহ্ বলা।
অর্থাৎ আলাইকুম, এর পূর্বে (ﻭ ) ওয়াও
অক্ষরটি উল্লেখ করবে। তা বাদ
দিলেও জায়েজ আছে তবে সেটা
উত্তম পদ্ধতি হবে না। কেউ যদি
সালামের জবাবে শুধু ওয়া আলাই
কুমুস্ সালাম বলে তবে তা যথেষ্ট
হবে। তবে যদি শুধু ( ﻋﻠﻴﻜﻢ) আলাইকুম
বলে তবে সকল বিদ্বানের নিকটেই
তা যথেষ্ট হবে না।
সালামের স্তর:
তিনটি স্তরে সালাম বিভক্ত:
১) সর্বোচ্চ, পূর্ণাঙ্গ ও সর্বোত্তম রূপ
হল: ( ﺍﻟﺴﻼﻡ ﻋﻠﻴﻜﻢ ﻭﺭﺣﻤﺔ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻭﺑﺮﻛﺎﺗﻪ )
আসসালামু আলাইকুম ওয়া
রাহমাতুল্লাহে ওয়া বারাকাতুহু
বলা।
২) এর তার চেয়ে নিম্ন পর্যায়ের হল
(আসসালামু আলাইকুম ওয়া
রাহমাতুল্লাহ্) বলা।
৩) সবচেয়ে নিম্ন পর্যায়ের হল:
আসসালামু আলাইকুম বলা।
মুসলিম ব্যক্তি হয় পূর্ণাঙ্গ নেকী
নিবে অথবা তার চেয়ে কম নেকী
নিবে অর্থাৎ সালাম অনুযায়ী সে কম
বেশী সওয়াব পাবে। এজন্যই হাদীছে
এসেছে যে, একজন ব্যক্তি মসজিদে
প্রবেশ করল অতঃপর আসসালামু
আলাইকুম বলল তখন নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু
আরাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম মসজিদে
বসে ছিলেন, সাহাবায়ে কেরাম তার
সাথেই ছিলেন। নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু
আরাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম উত্তরে
বললেন: (ওয়া আলাইকুমুস সালাম)
তুমি ১০টি নেকি পেয়েছ। এরপর অপর
এক ব্যক্তি মসজিদে প্রবেশ করত:
”আসসালামু আলাইকুম ওয়া
রাহমাতুল্লাহ্” বলল। নবী
সাল্লাল্লাহু আরাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম
জবাবে বললেন: ওয়া আলাইকুমুস
সালাম ওয়া রাহ্মাতুল্লাহ্। তুমি
২০টি নেকি পেয়েছো। অতঃপর আরও
একজন ব্যক্তি প্রবেশ করত: ”বলল
আসসালামু আলাইকুম ওয়া
রাহমাতুল্লাহি ওয়া বারাকাতুহু।”
রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি
ওয়া সাল্লাম বললেন: ওয়া আলাইকুমুস
সালাম ওয়া রাহমাতুল্লাহে ওয়া
বারাকাতুহ্ – তুমি পেয়েছো ৩০টি
নেকি। হাদীছটি আবু দাঊদ,
তিরমিযী বর্ণনা করেছেন। অত্র
হাদীছে ১০, ২০, ৩০টি বলতে ঐ
পরিমাণ নেকী বুঝানো হয়েছে।
