ISIS IS NOT THE PROBLEM

Once again, the politicians, the pundits, and the media have it all wrong.

ISIS is a symptom, to be sure, but the over-arching problem is the rise of the Islamists. To say ISIS is the problem is to say that the Japanese Navy was the problem on December 7, 1941 when they attacked Pearl Harbor. Under that philosophy, we should have continued the policy of giving free rein to all Japanese diplomats, businessmen and tourists. We were smarter than that back then.

On the other hand, we put a lot of Americans of Japanese descent into concentration camps despite the fact that there was never a recorded incident (at least that my searches have uncovered) of an American of Japanese descent murdering scores of other Americans under the banner of the “Land of the Rising Sun”. Most Americans today, myself included consider that a shameful incident in the history of America.

“Radical Islamist terrorist” is totally redundant – Islamist says it all.

The situation today is completely reversed. We have a suffered through some significant attacks perpetrated by followers of the Islamist theocratic, political and legalistic philosophy. Yet, our politicians continue to point to Al-Qaeda in its various forms, Hamas, Hezbollah, ISIS and a host of other “radical Islamist terrorist” groups as individual elements that require military response. It is one over-arching umbrella group that needs to be addressed – the Islamists.

All Islamists are Muslim, but not all Muslims are Islamists.

The Politically Correct elements of society say that we cannot blame all Muslims for the actions of the “radical Islamist terrorists”. That is a correct thing to say, but that doesn’t excuse the same Politically Correct sheep from not addressing the Islamist problem. These same sheep keep talking about “home grown terrorists”, but still refuse to recognize that the Islamists within our borders are encouraging, funding, supporting and abetting the activities of those who end up perpetrating these horrendous acts. These include the imams, mullahs, and other “priests” of the Islamist doctrine every day in the mosques throughout the US.

Survey after survey show that a majority of Muslims believe in Sharia Law, a basic tenet of the Islamist doctrine. Sharia Law is antithetical to the American system of justice for all, as non-Muslims have no rights under its implementation. It might be inferred that all those who believe in Sharia Law are Islamists. If so, that might provide a means for isolating the Islamists.

The dilemma facing the western world: How do we isolate the Islamists?

We do need to identify, isolate and remove all Islamist elements. This is not a religious persecution but a self-defense mechanism to element existential threats to our way of life. Removal could be to an internment camp or deportation to a country that has adopted Sharia Law.

Currently, the US has no legal mechanism to effect such a removal. This would require the Congress to enact laws and the President to enforce those laws. The major hurdle is to develop a litmus test to determine if a Muslim is a law-abiding American that is either assimilated or in the process of assimilating into our civilized way of life or is here to ultimately cause harm. When our government goes to groups such as CAIR for advice on the Muslim situation that is as if President Roosevelt went to the Japanese embassy for advice on how to proceed with the aftermath of the Pearl Harbor attack. Luckily, that was not the approach he chose.
