30DAYS Music Challenge day 23: Never be clever , Herman Brood

Herman Brood is Holland's most famous rock star and a true legend. He was mostly known for his music, art and his drugs & alchohol abuse. His musical career highlighted in the 70's and 80's. He scored some big hits and was a striking appearance in Amsterdam. When his muscial career had almost ended (because of his unpredictability and drugs abuse) he started to paint paintings.

The song "Never be clever" is a typical Brood song, his quasi lazy singing with the 70's mixture of Rock and a bit of Punk.

I also post the song "Saturday night" it was his biggest hit in the Netherlands and has been covered by alsmost every band I know (and played in)

Because of his addiction and all the years he had used drugs his body was on the decline. He decided to commit suicide by jumping of The Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam, he did left a goodbye note saying "Make a big party !!"... He died on the 11th of July in 2001.... He left a wife and 4 childeren....
