Northward - Hardrock project of Floor Jansen and Jørn Viggo Lofstad
Hello Steemians,
today YouTube surprised me with the suggestion for a video from a band called Northward. The face on the video-picture was quite familiar to me and in the video I heard it directly. Floor Jansen (Nightwish) finally found the time to record an album with guitarist Jorn Viggo Lofstad (Pagan's Mind).
Back in 2007 Floor and Jorn first played cover songs together on stage of the US festival "All Star Jams". They decided to create some Hardrockmusic together and prepared enough stuff to create a whole album already in 2008. Unfortunately due to missing time it was never recorded until last year Floor contacted Jorn again.
Well then everything went on quickly: in February 2018 they signed under the German Label Nuclear Blast, now in August they released their first single and the self-titled debutalbum will be released on 19th October 2018.

Halestorm, prepare yourself to get some competition in your genre! Seems like there is nothing Floor Jansen can't do. Inspired by tunes of Led Zeppelin and Foo Fighters I'm sure this album will kick ass!
I'm excited for the album in October and will definitely give it a listen!
