Review: Calvin Harris - Motion

in #music7 years ago

This time I will review the fourth album from DJ, singer, and famous music producer from Scotland, Calvin Harris. After releasing the album 18 Months in 2012, the lover of Aarika Wolf is back spawned an album titled Motion right today.

The album was produced by Calvin Harris, Alesso, All About She, Firebeatz, R3hab, and Ummet Ozcan. There are 15 track list in this album, they are:

  1. Faith
  2. Under Control (with Alesso, feat. Hurts)
  3. Blame (feat. John Newman)
  4. Love Now (feat. All About She)
  5. Slow Acid
    6.Outside (feat. Ellie Goulding)
  6. It Was You (with Firebeatz)
  7. Summer
  8. Overdrive (with Ummet Ozcan)
  9. Ecstacy (feat. Hurts)
  10. Pray To God (feat. Haim)
  11. Open Wide (feat. Big Sean)
  12. Together (feat. Gwen Stefani)
  13. Burnin (with R3hab)
  14. Dollar Signs (feat. Tinashe)

The song Under Control and Summer became my favorite on this album. The depth of the meaning of the song Blame also deserves appreciation, in addition to Calvin Harris wisely hook John Newman, a young musician who is loved by young Britons.

Overall, Motion album has not had a characteristic that imprinted in the hearts of listeners. There is no Bounce class differentiator from Kelis or Sweet Nothing from Florence Welch on this album.

You have a minor misspelling in the following sentence:

Ecstacy (feat.
It should be ecstasy instead of ecstacy.

Thank you for introducing us to some new music. Nicely done, i will make sure i take a listen.
