Blur "Parklife" 24 years of Britpop's firestarter album
Blur "Parklife" the album of stereotypes
Hello dear steemians! today I would like to talk about an album that makes difference in my life as a musician and songwritter.
Made up a lifestyle generation, boys who likes to be girls and vice versa, 94 were running and Grunge had been starting the fire of "X generation" but Cobain's death was really a low hit, although, in th UK, Britpop was blossom through an overrated Shoegaze scene.
Oasis & Blur
Oasis and Blur based as leaders figures and role models for England's youth, their behaviour patterns change when this album appear on (1994), Damon Albarn vision of 90's life was totally relating with all kids problems, media clichés, adults work routines, industry & political issues, all that Blur synthetized it perfectly on "Parklife" (the history continues a year later with "The Great Escape" 1995), but was Parklife who opens the door to Britpop lifestyle as it were.
Parklife 1994
Album insert has lyrics and song chords added to some Graham Coxon's art, one of my favourites album, "Parklife" teaches me how to complain without scream and Albarn teach me how to make great beautiful and catchy tunes.
Thanks for that much masters, my 90's teenager self soul really appreciate all the songs. End of a Century, Badhead, Trouble in the Message Centre, Magic America, This is a Low, my favourites. This disc has one of the most majestic powerful sad ballads to me: "To the End". Great album, from first to last without a doubt.
Hey! Lo leímos esta mañana y está bien fino. Suerte :P
