Tips for Recording Music: Tempo and Organization
Hello Steemians! I’m here with a few tips for recording music. Although I’m not a professional these are some of the little rituals I tend to follow.
Tempo:
The basis of your music should always be the tempo. Without a set tempo everything will fall apart. If you do music covers like me, I suggest to go online and search for music sheets and find the tempo. If you can’t find any music sheets, all you need to do is count the beats per minute. Turn on your stopwatch and tap out the beats for sixty seconds. If you are creating your own music you can search tempos online that generally are used for your genre of music
Organization:
If you keep your recordings organized it will be much easier for you to navigate on the recording program you use. Most programs come with color tags on each recording. Use these color swatches to categorize your instruments. I personally use blues for drums, purples for bass parts, and greens for guitar parts. Once you have your colored categories you need to create buses. Buses will link all the parts you select to one volume dial.
These are little tips that helped me a lot! I’m learning more so there will be more tips in the future!
