Top 3 Midi Keyboards under $100 for Beginner Music Producers!
If you are a beginner producer, it can be hard to buy the right equipment for a home studio on a budget. One of the first pieces of equipment a producer may buy is a midi Keyboard controller. It can be challenging to find the right keyboard that supports your DAW, like Fl Studio, Ableton, Reasons, Ect. There are many options out there and not one Midi may support your needs for your own home studio. There are also some that are not worth buying, like I made the mistake of doing. So, I will go through the top 3 midi keyboards I recommend to beginner producers that want to get started but don't want to fork out a lot of money!
- Akai Professional MPK Mini MKII | $99
The Akai MPK Mini is a Ultra Portable 25-Key Midi Keyboard. This keyboard is great if a producer may need to fit it in a backpack for travel and to set up in a home studio. There are 25 Keys and 8 backlit MPC-style pad4s that are velocity-sensitive. I ranked this keyboard number one because of the build quality. If you want the most quality midi keyboard for under $100 this is for you.

2.M-Audio Axiom AIR Mini 32 | $99
This key board is great if a producer has a little more room on the desk to spare for 32 keys. Compared to the Akai mpk mini you may get more bang for your buck with this keyboard because of the extra keys. However , you will be giving up a little in build quality. It is still a great keyboard for the price!
3.Alesis V25 | $89
The alesis v25 is another 25 key midi keyboard. It has fairly similar features to the Akai MPK mini but comes in $10 cheeper! The only drawback of the keyboard is that there is less knobs for mixing and leveling but if you don't need that you may want to go with the alesis v25 to save a extra $10!
Now of course there is more options for midi keyboards to choose from but these are the best 3 in my opinion to get a beginner producer up and running. If you enjoyed this post please upvote and resteem! will be doing more post similar to this in the future to help all music producers and musicians.
Very satisfied with my Akai MPK mini! I mostly use it when I have a melody stuck in my head and I quickly want to "write it down" in Ableton. Also fun to build quick drum patterns.
