A song for Ana
I've been messing about with Suno and created a song. The lyrics are fullly by me and the the music was a bummer to get into the right tone, but there it is... Let them tweak the thing just a little bit more and the human made music business is ruined forever, being relegated exclusively to live performances, (that's what I feel).

The fish still swim where we used to dream
With echoes splashed from the stars' gleam
The moonlight casts a soft silver glow
It lights the path where we used to go
The fish still swim where we used to love
With echoes splashed from the stars above
The moonlight flickers a soft blue glow
It lights the place where we used to go
The springtime when there flies a gull
Tells our story to the clouds that lull
The recors rolls but it’s playing slow
Missing the sparks of that old-time show
That place where the sky falls into the sea
Where time would pause just for you and me
A shrine to moments that you'd never know
That golden place where we use to go
The walls still lean like they’re holding in
The secrets buried beneath our skin
Each brick remembers the undertone
Of laughter and love in the place we'd go
It fades somehow when you're paranoid
And creeps me out cause it’s not my fault
But when I close my eyes I still see
That place lit strongly by memories
That place where the sky falls into the sea
Where time would pause just for you and me
A shrine to moments that you'd never know
That golden place where we love to go

Of course there will also be people in this area who make it easy for themselves. Looking for quick success. Looking for success at all... I have my doubts as to whether this will work. Especially in art, whether it's pictures, texts or music, you need creativity, real creativity. I would compare AI-generated music vs. handmade sound with an art print vs. an oil painting...
I really don't know... Studio music has grown to be so artificial that the line between natural and AI is quite blurry.
Also, I found that putting my own poems through the process has created an unexpectedly amazing result, especially after I understood how to properly use the AI engine. This one here was the first one, but I had great improvements on the second try, with a poem in portuguese... At this point, I'm quite convinced of the validity of the process, but, as with the translator, you relly need to know what you're doing, with metrics, tempo, and all that. It would be cool if the AI provided some sheet music, so we could play it ourselves without having to go through back engineering the music.
Let's watch the market. I'm sure real artists will always find their audience...
