Ed Sheeran do make pretty awesome music. That being said I always wondered what fills the gap in hearing of the deaf. Fascinating to see the connection between many seemingly unrelated event and the body's reaction to it. The subconscious plays a major role in most of the daily going ons. I could totally relate to the earworm effects which I think is fantastic as the brain fills in those missing gaps making it easier to listen to those favorite tracks without actually listening to every word.

But yeah this whole 'filling in' phenomena is particularly interesting to me because I have permanent tinnitus - ringing in my ears that is just always there. It's still understudied but I'm sure it's related!
