"Hey Jude” turns 50! (A Brief Compilation of Information by @gpocaterra)
Dear "Steemians", I would like to share with you a video of one of the songs I listen to the most: (https://102tube.com/video/PgJQ6LQ8x1E/hey-jude-live-the-beatles-paul-mccartney-elton-joh.html),
Will the personal reasons for listening to it be asked? It reassures me, inspires me and above all brings back good memories. The video that I share today is part of the concert held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on September 15, 1997 and was called "Music for Montserrat". This concert was held in order to raise funds to help the victims of a volcanic eruption that caused severe damage on the Caribbean island of Montserrat. A great work of charity performed, not only by the song's author Sir Paul McCartney (who composed the song to help Julian Lennon recover from the divorce of his parents: John Lennon and Cynthia Powell). Participate in this concert a serie of great artists of the likes of Eric Clapton, Elton John and Phil Collins among others.
The song "Hey Jude" was released by "The Beatles" (Apple Records) in 1968, spent nine weeks as No. 1 in the United States and is considered by magazines specialized in the field, as Rolling Stone, one of the 10 best songs of all time, occupying for this magazine the position number eight (8).
