Introduction

Music is about sharing

Most of today’s DAW (digital audio workstation), are expensive, and most of musicians are broke.

Talent should be rewarded, no matter where you come from or your financial status, and it becomes very difficult to keep up with the new bank of sounds, released each years by the leaders on the market.

Today we have the most fortunate, able to buy the latest softwares, sounds, editing tools , recording equipment and the rest of the world trying to keep up , often with outdated software.
This can change very easily, if the tool for creation is free for all , and accessible.

MyDAW is a Real Time Online interactive DAW ,that operates on the blockchain

MyDAW is an online digital audio workstation, that will help musicians and composers create a song, edit, share with other musicians and composers, master, and finally release a product, all in real time.

The processing/rendering power has to be handle on the blockchain, the user have an app downloadable for desktop or for Smartphone making the experience much easier for beginners composer too, and giving complete freedom to the artist.

The main goal to have the processing power handled on cloud/blockcahin, is that even smaller computers will process complex tasks.

A library of midi sound is available for the user, constantly updating itself, working as a profit driven open source database .

Users can create their own Midi sound, and share it with other users online, or sell it, all of this in real time.

MyDAW is a social media platform too , and users can add friends , share/record/edit/splice audio files in real time with others artists with a drag n drop interface.

It will revolutionize the way or making songs, a drummer can share his take with a pianist in real time , no matter where you are around the world , export the song and sell it.

It's a game changer for the entertainment/music industry.

Everyone has the same chance to create the next hit, with no technical limitation and will deliver a state of the art sound quality that the world deserves.

The beginner interface has to be very user friendly, using a drag and drop technology applicable for Android, tablets, Smartphone.

Most of today’s DAW offers too many options, which can be quite overwhelming for new artists.

It takes that moment of confusion for an artist ,which is sometimes enough to lose your train of thought.

By simplifying the interface , and separating the process in several steps with presets ( Tempo Setup - Guide track – Midi sound – audio recording – editing and effects – mastering), and will speed up the recording time for new artist most of the time not familiar with recording software, while giving them complete freedom.

The advanced Interface of myDAW is more complex, giving more options for musicians and producers familiar with today’s DAW.

The drag and drop system will still be available, and producers can create their own presets of genre (e.g Soul, Funk , Tropical House, Hard Rock), and more experience users can sell their skills to less experienced user, when users will be able to assist each others with remote access drag n drop technology.

THE ARTISTS OF TOMORROW.

The goal is to make the interface as easy as possible to encourage , even the less experienced user to give it a try.
A lot of very good musicians and singer nowadays are still not familiar with audio production software, because the learning curve can be overwhelming.

By being able to assist each other in real-time , the learning curve becomes much more pleasant, because you are not alone tackling an issue , and you can apply almost instantly what you’ve just learnt.

It’s very much in concordance with what Africa is all about, Ubuntu .Sharing has an important cultural part of our daily lives, myDAW will embody that spirit, while keeping a profit driven focus, to empower new artists and producers.

That was the whole point of myDAW when i created it .To enable smaller machines to handle more complex processes.

I live in Africa, and there are so many amazing musicians that don't have the proper infrastructure or tool to take in to the next level . I realize that the software don't have to be limited to Africa, because my goal at the end of the day is to empower musicians all over the world .

MARKET ANALYSIS

MyDAW is targeting first professionals of the industry(musicians, singers, producers,DJ), that want to produce quality songs and sell them , with no fee, with the same quality as the most expensive DAW’s out there.

It targets as well the new generation of musicians and producers , that are more familiar with Facebook-like interface , on tablets, smartphone or even computer. These new artists represents an ever growing market that is not tapped into by any major DAW in the music industry, and the talents of these young artist is limited by their equipment and tech available to them .

Pricing and gross margin targets
As for 2017 , the most used DAW in the music industry (google search) are :
· Ableton Live Intro: $88 | Standard: $388 | Suite: $667·
Logic Pro $200· Pro Tools $600 or $30/month·
Steinberg Cubase pro: $55.80 element: $ 111.50·
Presonus Studio One Artist: $99 | Studio: $399·
Reason $299.00·
Garageband Free or $4.99·
Cakewalk Sonar $499.99·
Digital Performer $499.99·
FL STUDIO Producer: $199 | Signature: $299 | Total Bundle: $737·
Bitwig Studio $299

I want to apply the same model as Dtube. maybe taking 25% of the benefits for maintenance/servers.

Let me know what you think of my idea, I have been working on it for a while , but now it's time to take it to the next level and ask for help. I really don't mind if it becomes an open source project, it was my baby at first, but my objective was always to empower musicians and producers, so If it's what it takes ,so be it

myDAW could work very well with Steem , it could work on other platform as well like Ethereum , or using the Tangle technology .

The first step is too see if anyone is interested , and if yes , I will get a new sim card and create a new account called myDAW.live ( i bought the domain name today).

On the DAW.live account , I will create milestones where everyone can contribute , with comments , the comments will be upvoted and create remuneration , the myDAW account will contribute to your remuneration too ( after proof of work).

It's a fairly new idea, and I am not too sure for now if it's even possible , it sounds a bit crazy , but I would love to have all your feedback. I need help with pretty much everything ,even the logo was made on canva, so it needs a revamp!

Special thanks to @mariogiancini for his help !

UPDATE: If you are a producer/Programmer/music enthusiast/philanthropist that wants to be a part of this project, just contact me on Steemit :)

I hope to hear from you all !
