Concept Design for the complex of buildings including existing philharmonic hall and the adjacent territory.

COMPETITION SITE–

The subject area is located in Ekaterinburg (Russian Federation) between Klara Tsetkin – Turgeneva – Petrvomajskaya – Karla Libknekhta streets.

SUBJECT OF THE COMPETITION – design and functional concept for the complex of new and existing properties including the historical building of the Philharmonic hall, the rehearsal building, the newly constructed building to accommodate concert hall for 1600 seats, and a chamber hall for 350 seats.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS – any individual or legal entity, or an association of such in any combination thereof which has submitted an application for the participation in accordance with the requirements of the competition brief.
Key requirements include experience and expertise in architecture, track record of comparable projects, multidisciplinary team of urban planners, architects, engineers, acoustics.
Detailed qualification requirements for the Participants are presented in the competition brief.

THE JURY OF THE COMPETITION – Executives of the city planning authorities, world renowned musicians, leading Russian architects, other members of the professional community.
