Most of us have been victims of a situation that has suddenly seen a song line stuck on the head, it is not going out. I am going to revolve somewhere, I am not able to read, but the music and the head! The biggest hurdle is that, when I see that I am struggling to read the exams, I can not remember. But the song is dancing inside the head!

This problem is called 'Ear Pierce' or Earworm, which is stuck in the inside of the head. Earworm comes from the German word 'Ohrwurm'. Which means 'shrewd'.

When we hear a song, a part called 'Auditory cortex' is activated in our brain. Researchers have found that, when part of a familiar song is played, the brain's Auditory cortex is activated. They fill the rest of the song and keep playing the song until the song ends.

The songs stuck on the head are like the thoughts that we try to keep down. Forgetting what we try, they become more headstrong.

Originally Earworm is a simple process by which our brain is kept in motion when it is sitting idle. 98% of the tests showed that women and men are usually infected with Earworm in the same way. But for women it lasts a long time.

Studies have shown that 73.7% of the earworm is accompanied by songs with lyrics. Instrumental songs are only 7.7%. Daniel Levitin said in his book "This is your brain on Music: The science of a human obsession." Musicians and ordinary people who suffer from 'obsessive compulsive disorder' suffer from earworm more.

Earworm's attack usually happens with a small part of a song. Its stability is similar to our Auditory short-term memory, ie 15 to 30 seconds.Earworm is more popular than traditional songs. He further said that OCD medicines are often used for its remedies.

How Earworm Launches:

There are a few reasons for Earworm to begin, called 'Earworm Triggers'.These are:

  1. If a new song is published

  2. I heard many songs heard many times

  3. Through a human (with which any song is in the memory)

  4. Under what circumstances

  5. Through frustration

  6. Through no surprises

  7. Dreaming

  8. Surprise

Way to get rid of earworm:

Scientists have found that through hard work (such as a Sudoku or puzzle), it is possible to reduce Earworm by keeping the brain busy.Besides, melodic type songs will reduce Earworm.

Earworm is sometimes called Brainworm

Earworm can also be reduced by eating chewing gum. Mark Twain said of a jingle's earworm in his book 'A Literary Nightmare'. It is only possible to get rid of it by passing it to another person.

Earworm is sometimes called Brainworm. It is considered as a normal process of the brain. In some cases Earworm is very annoying but it is quite useful in some of them! They say that it helps them finish their scheduled daily work.

Many people including Mark Twain, Alfred Bester, Arthur C. Clarke, Henry Kutter have been victims of Earworm like normal people in their lives. Scientists also call it Stuck-song Syndrome, Sticky Music, Cognitive Itch, etc. In all these Earworm or ear worms can have a very good effect in our lives!

Stay Happy Guys!

I once accidentally walked in on house guest who chose not to shut the bathroom door. T
he visual snapshot was just as she had stepped from the shower after a summer day out on the boat. She was pure goddess from head to toe. The image is permanently seared into my brain.

Do not fear This happens to everyone.
