Introduction

I have been on Steemit for close to a year now and I have lacked direction on a particular path to take on my content creation. I have made a few posts, bought and sold STEEM at the wrong times, powered up and down (again at the inopportune times), and pretty much felt that I didn't have anything to contribute to our community. I stopped posting, but never stopped thinking about content that I felt comfortable posting about that would be something new, something I wasn't seeing from the community at large.

Music

More specifically Post-Hardcore music, the music that has shaped my life more than any other type of music. I listen to it day in and day out. The gutless screams enhanced with melodic singing make it a staple of my music collection. I want to share this with all of you. I understand that this is a niche music type, but I can promise a solid lineup for any enthusiast out there scanning Steemit for new blogs to follow.

Day One - Opening Band - Dance Gavin Dance

DGD (Dance Gavin Dance) is a five member post-hardcore band hailing from Sacramento, California and was formed in 2005. The band consists of Tilian Pearson (Clean Vocals), Jon Mess (Screaming Vocals), Will Swan (Lead Guitar), Andrew Wells (Rhythm guitar), Tim Feerick (Bass), and Matt Mingus (Drums). They have had 2 other extremely talented lead singers Jonny Craig, and Kurt Travis in past, but I believe Tillian is still the best fit for the band. Will Swan also runs a record label that has produced bands such as Hail the Sun and Sianvar (both great post-hardcore bands).

DGB has put out seven studio albums since their inception with the eighth dropping later this year, titled Artificial Selection.
