European immigration Laws: Demystifying the Anomalies, Contradictions and Consequences. A critical Analysis through the lens of reality!

in #multiculturalism7 years ago (edited)

This post is for anyone who are interested to know about the reality of EU-Immigration laws via a truly unbiased source “that’s me”. This is a bit longer post so I hope you will be patient and enjoy reading it. I will love to hear your opinions and let's discuss it together.

1. First about my experience in Finland, Germany, Sweden and Austria as a foreigner:

I have worked in Germany, Austria and Studied in Sweden too for two years. I owe a lot to the people to these countries and majority of them are awesome and friendly. For the last about 10 years I am living in Finland. So, being a foreigner, and a highly educated one who came to this beautiful country “Finland” about a decade back, it is my responsibility to share my views with everybody to clarify some things and discuss them with honesty which you will normally not hear in mainstream media.Picture2.png

I start off by humbly thanking the wonderful Finnish people and their country which has given me free PhD Degree in computer science, about a decade of professional experience in computer science and a prestigious business degree for free too “which I will soon complete”. Finnish people are very honest and believe me if you lose your wallet or phone, somewhere in the street and if someone finds it. They will bring it to your doorstep or call you so that you can collect it. So, in short, neither are most Finnish people racist, otherwise why the hell will they treat me so well and neither are they dishonest.

2. Failure of Immigration Laws:

I firmly believe that the immigration laws in Finland country and in EU in general are designed in such a way that the societies instead of accumulating the most educated, talented and open minded foreigners are accumulating foreigners which are forming parallel societies, ghettoes and making European countries dangerous to live in “in other words the law and order situation is getting worse in Europe”.

3. Political Correctness:

Picture4.png

Picture5.png

In fact, the political correctness of Media and confinement to the idea that saying anything about these issues is “racist” just because one of the parties involved in the issue is of primarily non-European origin, is downright pathetic and stupid. In this article, I dare to speak the truth and I would love to hear your comments too. I firmly believe that we must solve these problems so that people can live a peaceful and happy life in developed European countries like Finland and Sweden. Also, everybody likes and wants educated foreigners in Europe and majority of people are not racist here. If you don’t agree with me, in Saudi Arabia even if you live and work for decades you won’t get any citizenship. Also, in Dubai and other UAE states as well as Saudi Arabia, your salary depends on your Passport and nationality. In Europe, it is not the case. So just stop tagging European people as racist.

4. Categorizing foreigners irrespective of race:

To keep the race out of the equation, we can categorize, the people coming to any European countries in three broad categories:

A. Those coming here as refugees.

B. Those coming here with Spouse VISA

C. Those coming here with professional skills, to acquire education or come here with a job offered to them.

Now we analyse the way each of these types of foreigners are accommodated by the systems and immigration rules. And, also what were the consequences of having the immigration rules for each of these categories of foreigners entering a certain European country. Surely, I will mostly look at Finnish immigration since I am a proud citizen of this country. But the rules in other EU-countries are quite similar. Clearly, out of the three categories the third one seems to be the most promising for the economy of any country since these foreigners come here entirely based on their expertise, willingness to learn new skill and certainly to find a job or become entrepreneurs. Later, we will analyse how the outdated and unfair immigration system is “least accommodating” to this category as compared to the first two ones.

A. Foreigners coming here as refugees:

Picture6.png

Picture7.png

Out of proportion refugees coming to Europe has literally transformed some of the safest and most beautiful countries on earth like Sweden into the Rape Capital of the World and surprisingly the mainstream Swedish media will not talk about it. On one hand, the local people are paying heave taxes to the same Government which in turn hands over money to refugees, arranges language education for them and pays for their accommodation. So, the government has taken on the awesome job of populating country with hundreds of thousands of refugees most of whom are simply making parallel societies, are not willing to integrate and made the life difficult for locals. So much so that if you go to Stockholm, you will hardly find any local person in many districts. You will even find beggars there which was unthinkable in this country a decade back. So, the simple question is:

If the politicians like the refugees so much, why do they not live with them?

Also, I fear the political correctness of people who won’t protest in Sweden and are literally paying for their own suffering. That is sad and depressing. So, they asked for it! They begged for it! Now the genie is out of bottle! They elected politicians for decades who are delusional, want to align their decisions with ideas which are widely accepted and they do that the expense of the suffering of their own people. Very sad!

Some pictures and videos showing the situation in Sweden and Norway:

Consequence “people had enough and are now up for protecting their lives and kids”

“I am not saying that Sweden should not take refugees, but there should be a certain criterion to award them citizenship. Criminal background of refugees must be checked and the way they integrate and immerse themselves in the local culture muse be followed over time for 5-6 years.” Furthermore, they must be provided with trainings and support so that they don’t end up in ghettoes. But just populating country with too many foreigners without proper planning is something which had terrible consequences.

Therefore, the problem is that the mainstream media and government leverages on the self-created classification of all foreigners as “people of a different race”. They label implicitly each and labels every foreigner irrespective of his or her contribution to society, education and work ethic in the same way as a “person from different race”. This oversimplification of tagging every foreigner with the same label “implicitly by the media” gives them the ability to forge immigration laws which are “more accommodating” towards those who come here mostly with no criminal background check, no ability to financially contribute to society, no cross-cultural competence and willingness to integrate due to which many places in Sweden are no-go areas even for police! Finland must not go down the same path, but unfortunately, I believe that the political elite has so far not listened to the people. I wish they had the intellectual capacity to have a points system like Australia or Canada and gauge them differently with respect to the potential which they must contribute to the economy of the Country. That will solve “if not all”, most of problems.

B. Foreigners coming with Finnish Spouses:

So, on one hand, the politicians like Alexander Stubb are saying that “we want good immigration” and on the other hand you go to a supermarket in Oulu and you will find at-least half a dozen women from Asia who came here with local men who have only fed on benefits and most of them still have no career or jobs. Same is the case of many guys from Asia and Africa who have no good education and career prospects and came here just because they have Finnish spouses. Most of them have Finnish Passports, for one full year their language education was paid by us tax payers and at the same time a clear majority even got free technical education after a year of free pay checks and free language education. This is going on in a country where the average lifespan of a marriage is about is not that long and the divorce rate is staggering. Therefore, the ability of the Finnish person to support the incoming spouse must be determined as is the case of UK.

Meaning that, why would the society be so courteous in accommodating the foreigners whose only achievement was to get into a relationship with a spouse. Once again just like refugees the society seems very accommodating towards this kind of foreigners too. Once again let me clarify this: I am myself married to a British lady and I am not saying that every foreigner coming here as a spouse falls in same boat, but majority of them are like that. Also, “IRRESPECTIVE OF THEIR ABILITY TO FINIANCIALY CONTRIBUTE TO SOCIETY THEY ALL GET A LOT OF PRIVELAGES AS MENTIONED BEFORE AND GET TIME TO INTEGRATE WITH LOCALS”. In my opinion, foreigners who come here with a spouse visa are wrapped in the same capsule tagged as “FINNISH SPOUSE”, there must be some proper point system and at the financial situation of Finnish spouse must be checked like in the case of UK so that the system does not feed the spouse with public money. We will further investigate it in the conclusion section. Also, once again there should be a criminal background check before accepting them as citizens. Walking around in any supermarket in Oulu (Finland), one can find many Thai women and foreigner guys who simply have no future. This is not an adult day care. It is an economy where adults should contribute financially and their ability to do so must be determined and gauged before handing them over VISAS.

C. Highly Skilled Immigrants and University students from non-EU countries:

Now we look at the final category of foreigners who come to Finland. They are either students at Master Level having a Bachelor Degree or have a job letter “meaning getting employment before coming here”, who pay taxes from day 1, who are open-minded and have the passion to form companies here and will like to contribute to the countries. What do they get in terms of language education, integration time:

I. They must learn language in their own time after 6:00 PM in evening when that return form work. Which is practically next to impossible?

II. Even difficult to get unpaid leaves in many firms to learn the language and integrate.

III. No time to search for job after completion of degrees which means that the tax payers money in paying their tuition is wasted. This is unfair with the tax payers as well as them.

IV. No integration and language education period after completing the Master’s degree for the students who have completed their degree? The consequence is that most of them leave wasting tens of thousands of Euros of public money.

V. Even if a foreigner gets a job and gets a job for immigrants and souses it does not matter but for professionals it is a big bottleneck since most of African and Asian countries have travel restrictions cannot harness their full potential Again a bad ROI “return on investment” for both tax paying locals and foreigners

VI. After getting a Finnish Citizenship despite all these hurdles, these experts get a humiliating questionnaire of over 20 questions which are downright rude and irritating. Don’t they deserve a bit of respect since they paid Finland over a 100K of Taxes while working here?

VII. Asking for 3-4 dozen documents during application process of Finnish Citizenship which is downright irritating. Honestly it was a nightmare for me. Asking for the proof of income three times … at least in my case it was very rude.

5. Conclusion and Critical Analysis:

A. Surely the societies are accumulating the foreigners for whom the immigration and system is more accommodating. The consequences can be seen if you are a “realist”. We must have a criminal background check for refugees and the spouses entering European countries. Otherwise we will reach a “point of no return”!

B. As many people think in UK, the European immigration system is itself “a racist system” and not the people since the employers in UK will like to source the best talent from all over the world like India and China without prioritizing the European applications. These foreigners as I mentioned above will bring skills and competencies which is awesome. So, UK employers can have the ability to leverage on the “best intellectual capital” from the world instead of “best available in Europe”. That will enhance the competitiveness of UK’s industry.

C. This has caused parallel societies which in turn has led to “ghettoization” of many cities in UK, where a local white British person will stick out. Many areas in Birmingham, Manchester and London are simply those where no local white British person goes or lives.

D. It has caused bifurcation and created a cocktail out of once beautiful countries where they had local values. The conflicting values in different cultures has made life difficult for both the locals and the immigrations. Even after many generations in UK and France they could not become a part of mainstream of these societies. Absolutely their own fault. I am a foreigner and I was not left out of side-lined by the society, I embraced the values here and I am a proud Finnish citizen. Love the people here and country but highlighting the problems with the immigration laws.

6. It boils down to some questions and suggestions for immigration authorities in EU:

A. Why the hell will EU not have a point system in place like Canada and Australia?

B. Why are authorities so blind folded to these problems?

C. Why is the opinion of local people not respected when it comes to Immigration laws? Meaning taking in only immigrants who have certain level of education and a clean criminal record.

D. Why not devise a system where the refugees are given a temporary residence which renews after a certain year indefinitely instead of citizenship “as long as situation in their country becomes good enough”? After all, they were not economic immigrants who came here to contribute to society but ran away from war or crisis! So, we are not denying them a safe place to live but not citizenship until and unless they clear the points required as a pre-requisite required for getting them into the citizenship.
