The value of contests in Steemit: ¡Positive, Negative and Interesting!

in #mspsteem6 years ago (edited)
Steemit is a platform with a friendly interface and also very useful for people with inclination for the art of reading and writing. It is a very useful tool, through which users express or expose their way of thinking, ideas, opinions, feelings and emotions, respecting human, animal and plant diversity, resorting to affective-effective communication, respect and tolerance.

But, is it really good to participate in the contests that different users do in Steemit?

Personally I can say that it is good to participate in the contests that make different users in Steemit, and through the technique of the P.N.I (Positive, Negative and Interesting) of Edward de Bono (1), it is possible to reach a personal conclusion. Let's get started!

Positive:

First: allows the search for information on known and unknown topics, thus increasing the level of intellectual or personal knowledge.

Second: knowing what was unknown increases the capacity for analysis on different topics of social interest.

Third: knowledge leads to understanding and interpreting the surrounding reality, creating the conditions for adaptation to any environment, whether natural or artificial.

Fourth: you get to know people, characters, your country of origin and other world latitudes, about architecture, gastronomy, culture and other sub-sectors and areas of modern and world society.

Fifth: it increases the capacity of self-relation, learning to share with other persons, similarities and fundamental differences.

Negative:

First:not to assume the contests as "Gold Mines", without paying attention to the correct formulation of the publication, with content of specific interest.

Second:Do not reflect topics with content that disturbs social sensitivity, only to attract attention and be favored.

Third:do not violate the rules established by the creators and those responsible for the contest. The rules are the backbone of every competition. They must be respected.

Fourth:not to disparage or disqualify the work of other users. Everyone deserves respect and consideration. Each person has something to contribute.

Fifth:do not make inappropriate comments about the contest and its organizers, if not favored.

Interesting:

First: First: through the contests in Steemit, one learns, teaches, shares among steemians, consolidating the platform/interface as one of the best on the Internet.

Second: knowledge, like work, dignifies and enhances; therefore, participating in contests is highly productive from the personal and professional points of view.

Third: contests create adequate communication channels for interaction and healthy entertainment.

Fourth: Through participation in contests, users become known and consolidated within the Steemit platform.

Fifth: the contests allow to know the work of accounts/profiles as "Minnows Support Project", dedicated to help, support and guide users with less experience in Steemit.

(1)P.N.I (Positive, Negative and Interesting) of Edward de Bono: He is a renowned writer and psychologist of Maltese origin, who studied at Oxford University. He distinguishes himself in his profession and work inhis eagerness to encourage and promote different methods, techniques and strategies to improve the ability to think. One of his techniques in consequence is that of the P.N.I, that allows to establish the positive, negative and interesting aspects on any subject, case or problem, leading to vision on the subject from different perspectives.
