THE SHAPE OF WATER Movie Review
The Shape of Water is theatrical, mysterious love-binding tale of a mute woman played by #SallyHawkins who works at a Government Laboratory who unmistakably creates this bond with a scaly creature brought in from South America. As a cleaning lady, she sneaks her way into the lab every night to spend time with him in a way that nobody else seems to understand. She soon find outs that the Government wants to experiment with him by sending him to space but when things go wrong, she steals him by placing him in the bathtub of her home. Because he is a salt-water creature, he soon grows weak and she knows she must let him go. Against all odds and because their strange love is so strong , even death cannot separate them.

As I do love mystery films and dark drama, this movie was quite interesting and intellectual . Although there were a lot of racial remarks that I did not enjoy, overall it was well directed. #GuillermoDelToro is known for directing films like these such as #PansLabyrinth and #PacificRim they have rich storylines that grasp your attention regardless if it's real or not. At the end of the film, the audience clapped for having seen a movie that held its own; unique, abnormally sexy, dark and kind of old-fashion. Rotten Tomatoes gives this film a 92% with a 8.4/10 average rating and 76% of the audience said they like it. This movie is rated R for nudity and violence and although it didn't make it to the top of the box office it did make a little of 57 million dollars.

Alexis and I both saw this movie, and it is beautiful. At one point, i was even brought to tears. Definitely deserving of the Academy Award it won.
