BLACK PANTHER Movie Review

in #movies7 years ago

Where do I start?! How do I write a review without spoilers and let you know at the same time how awesome this movie is?? I am super ecstatic about how well this #MarvelStudios movie was done. Growing up I have to admit I didn't read the comics and I have only seen few cartoon series. But as an adult, I have seen most of the Marvel-themed movies and this has become my new favorite. The cast was awesome, #ChadwickBoseman #MichaelBJordan and #LupitaNyongo are just a few of the great cast in #BlackPanther. I also want to add that the storyline was spectacular and I am so happy that this wasn't your typical African American film. They stuck to the "Black Panther" story while still adding a few tasteful moments of modern day style. There was laughter, there were sad moments and most importantly cheering moments as well. Too bad they didn't clap at the end like they did at the Thor: Ragnarok's opening night though. Like another critic said, "Black Panther is a superhero film we really needed even though we didn't deserve it" I believe they are right, with all that has been going on in the world, and in my opinion, with Marvel's last few films not living up to its expectations; I am glad this was a complete 360.

The makeup and even the costumes were eye-catching, you can tell they were very particular with this film and even though there were a lot of CGI, it didn't overwhelm the movie itself. The action was surreal and if I had seen this in 3D I bet it would have been breathtaking. This film went beyond the cliche of Superhero vs Villian and I loved every moment. The beginning, the middle, and the end pushed past the border of entertainment.

Being at the top of the charts, Rotten Tomatoes currently has it's rating at 97% and a 8.3/10 average, however, only 74% said they liked it. I bet after the weekend is over though the numbers will go up. This film is rated PG-13 and lasts about 135 minutes.

Also, make sure you stay after the ending credits!
