Dave Bautista Threatens to Quit Guardians 3! Use James Gunn's Script or I'm Out
Dave Bautista thinks Disney is Thanos and has given the company the ultimatum. "Use James Gunn's script or I quit." Gunn finished the script earlier in the summer and the rumors are that it is awesome. Gunn was dropped from Guardians when Disney canned Gunn for some old Tweets, which were jokes about rape and pedophilia, that were released ahead of San Diego Comic-Con 2018.
I am so sick of the political correctness. James Gunn is an artist and he made the Tweet a long time ago. You can't tell me that we you were young and foolish you didn't say stupid things. Move on people. Pretty soon we will be a society of Stormtroopers.
He could have gotten away with anything, but pedophilia jokes in an all family company is a bit no-no. They knew he had a problematic past when they hired him, but Disney mostly cares about their image as an all family company, and pedophilia jokes are just a red-line. As a Marvel fan I am also disappointed, but as a Disney fan I totally get it.
Some people were lucky enough to be young and foolish before the internet, or smart enough not to post all of their opinions online, or just delete them when they grow up. In the end, no matter how old you are, you need to remember that once something goes online it will be there forever, and that's something serious to consider. Also, pedophilia remarks are highly uncommon, I don't care at what age, that a big taboo.
