🥊 CREED II TRAILER 🥊 - INFO & REVIEW
The above quote has been slightly altered for effect. Less than 10 Hours ago the trailer for the latest film in the ROCKYVERSE - Creed II was shat out onto the internets! Rejoice! It's finally here. I'm actually a pretty big fan of the series. I cant even tell you how many times I've watched the films. I love them all. Yes even Rocky V. They are a guilty pleasure of mine. I'm only slightly ashamed that I enjoy them.
This film sees Adonis Creed back again under the guidance of boxing legend Rocky Balboa. Having recently been crowned light heavyweight champion. Adonis struggles to deal with obligations both in and out of the ring. The crux of the story seems to center around Adonis facing his greatest challenge. He must go toe to toe with the son of the man who killed his father - Viktor Drago.
The trailer is good. The pacing of the trailer pairs nicely with the song they picked from Kendrick Lamar- "DNA" - Great choice - We can all tell where this film is going. But being a fam of the series I'm excited none the less. That being said its not safe from me shitting on it where it needs it.
Again Wtf are the executives doing - Once again this trailer suffers from the deadly "Showtoomuchitis." - Why reveal DRAGO - And even if you were going to do it - It could have been done more subtly - A line of dialogue..... A suggestive shot.... I don't know - This is the first look & This should have been a minute tops. I WANT TO BE SURPRISED! STOP TELLING US SO MUCH! STHAPPPPPPPPP!
He fights. He looses. His wife wants him to quit... "You've got a family now" "What are you trying to prove"- "You're not good enough!" "What are you trying to prove?"..... Montage..... Press conference..... A fight outside the ring..... Adonis fights Drago again - Drago will insult Apollo...... "If he dies - he dies"....... Adonis has a surprise comeback after getting his ass kicked - He looks to his wife ringside.... SUMMONS POWER FROM THE COSMOS - Flurries of punches - HEYMAKER Adonis Wins - Celebration inside the ring. Roll credits.
Wonder if they are going to kill off rocky yet - I think they will probably wait till the third movie to have it align with the original films. But the truth is Stallone is getting up there in age - I wonder if he could actually make it another film in the series- Seeing as this one took 3 years to drop. Stallone should let this one go. Allow Rocky to nobly bow out. All jokes aside the film looks like it will be pretty good. The last boxing movie i watched was Southpaw (Which I also really enjoyed)

Ha ha great trailer critique!
Thanks dude - I enjoy writing these! Working on a couple film reviews - are you a fan of Christopher Nolan? Ever seen "Following"
Yes I've seen "Following" and I do like his stuff.
I'm almost done an analysis of following vs Dunkirk love Nolan's stuff. Good re-watch ability.
I saw following a long time ago but I remember it was a clever concept. I really liked Dunkirk too it was a great take on Rashomon but with a fluid timeline.
nice one.. gona check it out..
Thanks - just posted a new review let me know what you think.
