Simple effects, yet skillful play,
Enhance the tale, in a bygone day.

Inspired by Stevenson's timeless tale,
Matheson's script, a profound reveal.
The duality of human hearts, a truth profound,
A darker side, that must be found.

Yet, amidst the drama, a subplot strays,
A tale of Sulu, in icy ways.
A plot hole creeps, in Enterprise's sight,
A rescue untried, in a bygone night.

A canine guest, on Alpha 177's shore,
A reminder of eras, long before.
Spock's words, a jarring, insensitive sound,
A relic of the past, without a bound.

Still, The Enemy Within, a classic stands,
A testament to Star Trek's enduring hands.
A tale of Kirk, with dual hearts aglow,
A story told, that time will never let go.
