Blade Runner 2049

I'm finally getting the chance to watch the sequel to Blade Runner, one of the best Sci-Fi movies of all time.

I've been holding off from watching it as I don't particularly enjoy the movie theatre. I was surprised to learn that it came out digitally, so I lay here tonight enveloped in Ridley's adaptation to Philip K Dick's universe.

I began reading "Do Androids Dream of Digital Sheep" yesterday, ironic right, and the book portrays a significantly different story than the movie. It screams of existential crisis as opposed to gun slinging action of its Hollywood counterpart.

While in no way is the book ruining the movie or the movie not doing the book justice, I have forgotten how different the two worlds can be and the subjectivity created by the reader. This is actually one of the first fiction books I have read and will fully complete in almost a decade.

For anyway that has read the novel and is a fan of either movie let me know where you stand of the differences from the book to Blade Runner and what you thought of the new sequel.

I feel the same way about going to the movies although sometimes go in the morning to avoid people and thus noise/interference. In the UK we have to wait until 29 Jan which does not make sense at all for a digital release.
