Movie review - Out of Africa

"Out of Africa" was shot based on the personal experience of the author Karen (pen name Isaac Danson). Her own experience is more tortuous than that in the movie. The humiliating and embarrassing illness infected by her husband tortured her all her life.

After many years, when Karen finally picked up her pen and described the past, how much courage should she gather to lift it? Can we strip away those days one by one, the happiest and saddest period, the most passionate and the most disconsolate period?

The beauty of the movie and the sadness of the author Karen's own legendary experience have made it impossible for me to write my true meaning. Yes, to taste beauty is a kind of enjoyment, but to taste tragedy, that kind of deep sadness. The original English novel Out Of Africa is lying on my bookshelf. When can I read Karen's original work calmly? See if Karen, who has gone through all her life and can't stop, can recall her eternal Africa with calm brushwork and still warm and philosophical attitude?

The deepest love and the most painful pain often wear a calm coat after years of great prosperity. Narrative and director's deliberate blandness and evasiveness have added a trace of precipitation and significance to this movie. In the calm narrative, we can see Karen's ups and downs in her best youth.

Successfully completed the marriage transaction, went to Africa, tried hard to love her cold, rational and romantic husband, took care of the coffee plantation, treated the indigenous people well, and naively changed the original traces of Africa. At the beginning of Africa, for Karen, it was a place where her dreams began, and there was everything she wanted. At that time, Africa was the dream of holding the soul.

This woman is extremely tough, extremely strong, and extremely warm. Her heart is more open-minded and broader than that of men. She braves all kinds of unknown risks such as beast infestation and aboriginal attack, and treks hundreds of miles to send materials to the men in the war of resistance. Before leaving, in order to protect the homeland of the people, I knelt down to the governor's persistent request. This heart can only be understood by Dennis's equally free, vast and transparent heart.

Dennis's appearance lit up Karen's love world. This man born for freedom and nature also loves Africa in a deep way. His love is not change. He knows that he can't do anything about this mysterious land. The only thing he can and is willing to do enthusiastically is to appreciate the scenery of this mysterious land with his short life. Man is a grain of sand in front of civilization, under the boundless sky and on the earth. Dennis said: "Don't try to change it.

For Africa, we are a passer-by." Dennis's love for Africa is revered love, love from a distance, and love enough to appreciate from a distance. Karen's love for Africa is a persistent love, a love full of emotions, a love that wants to blend in and penetrate desperately, and a love that pours feelings and longs for return. At the same time, they love each other in the way of loving Africa. Their love is the love of the soul. They look back and find the other half among thousands of people.

In this land of Africa, Karen once realized her dream. She won the rights of Kikuyu people, won the respect of local white mainstream circles, won the respect and love of Kikuyu people, and lost Dennis and the man who was willing to give up her freedom to accompany her and guard her. In the end, she had to leave. I can't imagine how reluctant Karen was when she left. She loved Africa and told her how to love other places and love again.

Dennis, you use your eyes to understand the world eagerly, and I use my imaginary soul. When you're gone, I'm not Karen anymore, I'm Karen Dennis. Never remind me of the night before you left. You said that I changed you. Are you willing to stay for me? Dennis? I thought I could get close to happiness, but I was a little short, only a little short ..........

It is said that whenever the sun goes down, the author Karen will climb into her attic alone, facing Africa, the place of dreams and love, contemplating and overlooking ............. The sunset shines on her slightly white hair, and the breeze gently shakes her skirt. Has that vicissitudes face been calm and cool?
