RE: Inception: Colour Analysis | Layer 2

Christopher Nolan likes to play with the mind. He likes his viewers to make assumptions and to keep guessing. I don't want to do that. I just like to be entertained. Your analysis however made me see the movie in a different light. Now my mind is about to explode trying to understand all that lol!

That he does, and he's a genius at it. Believe me, I get you. When I watch a movie, I never analyze the meaning behind everything or where it could lead me. I just like to let it surprise me. That being said, if I'm watching it a second time, I am able to switch that brain function (acquired from years of teachers pounding it in me) on and actually scrutinize it. The results are often spectacular.

I would watch and re-watch movies too. This is what I love about the internet. When there are things I don't understand, I go online and read reviews and read the comments. It's on the discussions that I see things clearer.

Oh my GOD YES. That happened to me with Annihilation. I absolutely had to read reviews and explanations. Same with Arrival. I couldn't get the hype, until I actually read about the meaning behind it. Then I was hyped as well lol.

I have yet to see those films. I hope Arrival is not just another alien movie.

Yes and no. It has the same theme, but just like Inception it has a phenomenal subtheme that goes far beyond the alien invasion plot: TIME.

You got me there. I have to find time to watch movies lol!
