Black Panther Review
Everything you need to know about Black Panther movie. The characters, performances and talking points.
Black Panther (Hero)
Chadwick Bosemon was already one of the best parts of a much larger scale movie, all he had to do was to continue the incredible work he was already doing. Which he amazingly did.
Killmonger (Villian)
Michael B. Jordan was excellent in playing every second of his villain character.
Marvel marvel did a great job in getting the bad guy right. Erik Killmonger is not a typical “super villain who wants conquer the world". He is an antagonist the audiences can sympathize with. But that's just the second best thing about the character, the acting being the first. He goes off with one of the most exciting lines of a villain I have ever seen in a movie "choosing death over chains".
The performances
Every character shined. From T'Challa to CIA agent Everett Ross, every single character is perfectly brought to life by the respective actors. Especially T'Challa, Killmonger, Nakia, W'kabi, Shari, Okoye and Ulysses Klaue. All the major casts were exciting to watch.
My Major Talking Points
- The Wakanda country was beautifully created, displayed and set up. I loved the view. I loved the graphics. Though they over do it at some point towards the end of the movie.
- The fact that the major super hero character Black Panther/T'Challa didn't take all the shine off the other supporting character makes every character exciting to watch. At some point, killmonger was more exciting than every other character.
- Vibranium was over used. Its over realistic for one element to power almost every thing. I understand that the plot wants to make it the major origin of Wakanda's civilization but It shouldn't be the solution to every problem. The plot made it basically more essential and important than the air we breath (oxygen) lol.
- The ending of the movie was Top class and refreshing. From the line Killmonger said before dying, to W'kabi laying down his weapon for love and the idea of opening a Wakanda world outreach. It didn't seem like a villain had just died, it was more of the start of a greater revolution and makes the audience crave for another sequel of the movie.
