Taking The Bird Box Challenge Too Far

If you've ever spent any time on Youtube over the years then you've probably come across one or more of the various challenges that have trended at one time or another.
There has been the Ice Bucket Challenge, Mannequin Challenge, Tide Pod Challenge, Choking Challenge, Ghost Pepper Challenge, Make Your Own Slime Challenge, and countless others.
More recently, the popularity of the Netflix hit 'Bird Box' quickly spawned yet another challenge which involves people covering their eyes and conducting various activities while blindfolded.

That wasn't the case for one young girl from Utah however, she recently decided that she was going to allegedly drive her car while blindfolded. She ended-up getting into a car crash on the highway. The police posted about the collision on social media, calling out the Bird Box challenge; suggesting that was the reason she had been covering her eyes.

Netflix has already posted on their Twitter account urging caution for those who might be considering the challenge.

Psychology experts have varied opinions as to why people are partaking in these different challenges, some say it's because people are giving-in to peer pressure, that they might want to look cool by doing what they see others doing, they could be attempting to become recognized, trying to use the opportunity to be seen as funny or popular etc.

It isn't surprising that many young people today might engage in these activities at a time during their life when it's natural for them to be lacking good judgment. However, we've seen that it isn't just kids and teens who are participating in these challenges.
A growing number of people have been badly injured by participating in these challenges, some have even lost their lives.

howdy sir doitvoluntarily! just when I thought people couldn't get any dumber! Very interesting post though, THAT'S not dumb.
lol hiya janton thanks for stopping by:)
I wish that "movie" wasn't ever made.
I really wish that "movie" wasn't ever made.
And, i do things blind all the time.
Wow! Lacking in good judgement... ya think? Incredible to try driving on a freeway blindfolded...
I believe the movie is about social media and those who spread propaganda and ideas without realizing what they are doing and how it affects others. The insane people are the people reposting and spreading the ideas. You can't see ideas, so those are the monsters. The people who won't look are the ones who know what's really going on and ignore it all. Keep your blindfold on! :)
I think that "The Bird Box Challenge" was created to distract people from realizing the true meaning of the movie.
Look here, don't look there.
I thought i had followed you already but it offers me again to follow you now ? so i hope this time it sticks? lol
Haha, Thanks for following :)
I dig the theory! deep✌
I can't believe what some people will do just for a challenge or put their life in danger or others in danger just for some attention.
I did not like this film... 😕
@builderofcastles I think it has nothing to do with the movie... yes there is an idea...
But brainwashed people nowadays... I have no words. How did humanity become like this?!
I'll just drop this image here and go into the corner and weep...
