Motorcycle Travel Series by @velimir 'Softail Custom 2007' (Part #241)
'Softail Custom 2007'
When I look at this beauty, I cannot stop myself from thinking of Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper and Jack Nicholson. For you, younger guys, I am talking about a legendary film that inspired many to sit on a motorcycle and feel the freedom of being detached from everything else. Unfortunately, many good films carry the 'educational' vibes. These often further limit a person watching it, rather than help him/her loose the chains.
On the other hand, if it wasn't a drama, would we remember it or call it a masterpiece? Strange how the human mind works. I've already written about Easy Rider before so no need to go into details. Except for the details of this purring kitty. Check out the perfect curve of that seat. One could almost fall asleep laying on it.
The engine of this slim trimmed motorcycle packs enough power to let you ride with almost no limitations. Except for the ones that police might impose on you, of course. But, you already know that they do it out of pure envy... :D
Thin front wheel, together with the long fork was the thing back in the day. Some people customize the forks to be even longer but it greatly changes the parameters of manoeuvrability of the bike. Not everyone is ready to accept that.
Vance and Hines custom pipes are a trademark for themselves and need no special introduction to avid bike fans. Not in pictures and definitely not in sound. :D
Simple curved front light is consistent with the seventies but still stylized enough to grab attention today.
Chromed controls leave good impression only if they appropriately fit with the overall style. These certainly do. One almost feels an urge to leave some fingerprints there. :D
Overall, this is a great machine if you feel like riding back to the past and sensing more or less what those three guys experienced during filming. I certainly wouldn't mind a ride.
Enjoy your day! :-)

Awesome. I sure agree with you on movies that break your chains, not just educationally inclined. People's biggest problems is not lack of education, but its more internal than educational. I prefer movies that inspire one to break loose and motivate one to achieve more, an example of such is Hacksaw Ridge.
I must say that is a clean bike. I really love it. Its so shiny. Great pics.
It feels good to see bike seat that is designed not just to fit the bike, but at the same time designed for the comfort of the butt :). I am sure that seat is going to help avoid butt aches, because when you are tired, you can lie on it for a while if you must :). I say this because i have had an experience of a long ride on a bike and it was not funny at all. The bone-based aches were incredibly intense and i felt like i had a bad tooth in my ass :). I just hope he has gotten an aftermarket for that seat because he is suffering on those hard seats, it was as if there was no foam in it, because i believe its the most important component of a motorcycle seat, but probably the most overlooked i think, and not just the shape of the foam; more importantly, its characteristics, composition and overall quality.
But leaving that experience aside, that is a great bike up there. Thanks for sharing with us. Have a good day @velimir.

If talking about Moge or big motor, surely everyone will be on one product from the United States, Harley Davidson. Yes, indeed Harley Davidson Motor is a masterpiece of two-wheeled vehicles that he was already hundreds of years old. Harley itself is still a classic design and interesting design. Naturally everybody appoints Harley Davidson as 'Moge's owner'. In addition to standing for a long time, Harley motorcycle is also a motor that is very 'manly' and able to issue a very thrilling voice as well. Motor originally originated in the US precisely in the Milwaukee area was built by four people who William Harley, William Davidson, Wlater Davidson and the last is Arthur Davidson.
It's beautiful. Just simply beautiful. I love the touches on this one. I love the way HD fitted that fender to the forks and the wheel. A great touch.
It's got way more chrome than I would like. Course, I'm a rider and every minute wasted polishing is a minute of riding wasted. That doesn't mean I can't appreciate it and even feel a little lust in my heart.
Beautiful bike with a beautiful presentation. Thank you.
chrome is the seventies ;)
That is a cool bike! Shots are well done as well. And oh the chrome! It is meant to be touched :)
Friend , travelling on bike is also my passion.so thats why i always prefer bike travelling rather than any other vehicle travelling.
Great post... i think this bike is very difficult to found it
For four solid months, 16 adventure motorbike riders from around the world push their bikes to the limit across a quarter of the Earth’s surface. Starting in Europe they ride the length of Russia, onto the historical Silk Road, deep into Mongolia, through the Siberian wilderness and an incredibly moving final ride through the infamous Road of Bones. This is a spiritual wasteland where over two million people perished during Stalin’s reign of terror and their bodies were used as road fill. Through blazing deserts, inland seas, snow-covered peaks, black ice, torrential rain, raging rivers and vast empty plains, this is a motorbike adventure like no other. These riders know that every bend in the road could be their last and not everybody will make it to the end.
Beautiful motorcycle! I've always wanted to get the motorcycle license and buy myself a motorcycle, but haven't gotten around to it yet. It's pretty expensive here, but who knows. One day. Very nice photos as well, you got some good photo skills. Have a nice weekend :)
This is probably second time when I'm seeing you are posting some cool motor cycles in your post, really great!!!
