NEVER RELY ON ANYONE, EXCEPT YOURSELF!!!

in #motivation7 years ago

Hello fellow steemians! Today I wanted to share an important life lesson with you which I had to learn the hard way and Im also posting this as a self reminder that I can go back to if I ever forget this.
No matter how many friends you have, no matter how much your significant other claims that they love you and no matter how many family members you have = You came to this world alone and as such will you depart from it. You could be surrounded by thousands of people and still feel alone if you cant relate to anyone.

Im not saying you should go around hating people and transfering your fears and insecurities onto others, all Im saying is that you cant expect others to do your job or to rely on others when in need. Once you learn that, youll appreciate people around you much more and you wont get dissapointed in others, if you dont have any expectations in the first place. You must rearrange your priorities, sit down and think hard about the people who matter to yo u the most and ask yourself why. But most importantly you must work on yourself, put all your focus on your needs, wishes and dreams. Again, Im not saying you should be an egoistic, self centered bastard, but to be objective and considerate of yourself and people who matter to you the most. Life can get so hard at times, it even gets you thinking about thw worst, but there is no one else to blame for it except yourself. You put yourself in that position, nobody else.

You may not be in a position you hoped youll be right now and things may not have worked out for you the way you wanted up until this point, but dont just sit down depressed and cry about it. You need to put in as much work as you can, right now! These hard times are the times that matter the most and this is actually your moment to shine. Trust me, I have been so wrong about these types of things until I realised you, yourself, are 100 percent in control of your life. Take care fellow steemers, Ill follow you back and make sure I give you some upvotes if you interact with me in any way.

I supported my now ex for the majority of our relationship while she was in school and battling early stage cancer. Shortly after she finished with school and her treatments were done she started showing signs of leaving. Sure enough within 6 months I was moved out and she was dating other people. It's tough to have someone tell you that they don't love you anymore, but that kind of betrayal on so many levels hurts. It's taken me a while to get back on my feet. I still think of her often but I will never allow myself to base my happiness on someone else. Life is crazy, you live, learn, and hopefully one day find what makes you happy.

Truly an amazing and a heartbreaking story =(
I feel for you on so many levels, its so crushing to see someone you feel for give up on you after all youve done for them. It mustve been so hard for you to start living again, but you obviously learned so much from that. Life is truly crazy, wish you all the best in this world you deserve it!

I agree that motivation has to come from within, but I still have faith that there will be people there for me when I need them. I hope that you are in a good place now?!

Thanks for asking, I try my best to be =) I agree, YOU must motivate yourself the most. Theres nothing wrong in having faith in them, im just saying youll appreciate those people and their help more if u dont expect it. Take care, wish u all the best!
