Press on...
Barack Obama once said: "Press on". that word isn't easy. Today My Co and I sat in front of the laptop trying to render a video that was going to bring more customers to the agency. This was about 11:00a.m. The work was HD (High-Definition), The quality was worth 2.04GB for a 15 second video and the sound packs were Awesome.
For about 3 hours the video hadn't finished rendering. i was so bored watching the screen cos it was so slow and so i took a 20 minutes nap leaving my Co to monitor the video. when i woke up, it was about 75% ready. i was happy, very happy knowing that 2 hours from then, the work will be ready for presentation. At 76%, the After effect application went off and it crashed. God knows my heart, i felt like smashing my phone or kicking an enamel bucket. it was so annoying. I and my Co decided to shut the computer and give up on the work today cos of the disappointment but just as we were about to close the computer, Something poped-up in my head...." how many times will you try before you quit?"...it was there and then i realized that the agency had goals and targets which must be met and we shouldn't disappoint our customers and clients on any account and that excuses weren't the best options cos we could lose income if we disappointed anyone. So I and my Co started work again and now that is what i call: "PRESSING ON. NEVER QUITTING COS OF DISAPPOINTMENT". When you press, you only bring yourself one step closer to success but when you delay, you delay what you would have achieved in a short time. So we have to wait another 3-6 hours to render the video this night but all the same we don't care about the number of hours, what we care about is the achievement of the mission. So sit up and do what you love....for success doesn't come to those who sleep and sleep and sleep but to those who wake up early to work and sleep late because of trying to achieve something.
