Quote of the Day!-Bossy women
Hi everyone, I am Ejemai and I have a confession to make.., I have a thing for bossy women! Yea I said.
I think the world needs more bossy women and then our decentralized world, Steemit needs them more. The population of Steemit is largely that of men and there are some very few ladies leading the pack.
Women are beautiful and are responsible for making us work hard and want to do more with what we have. You may say women are not bossy and are not supposed to be, but if you are married, you will no doubt agree that they are wonderful leaders as well as partners. Men are mostly leaders and it is only a few that can be called leaders and partners.
I love beautiful bossy women.., I do and women are beautiful. I just always want to soak myself in their presence because they give me strength.
Okay you may wonder why I have this thing for them. My mother is an amazing boss and then my elder sister and then my wife and then my daughters, the circle just keeps getting wider. My daughters are still young, but I see how they tactically manage the home and their bothers and I just love women more.
On this platform, I have seen women do some amazing work and I wish to see more around.
I love bossy women and I just love to work with such and that is why I told the @stach team that I will be giving anyone who recruits a lady, [that is ready to stay and do something for themselves] 1SBD per recruit and I am also looking for some smart bossy ladies that will work with us @STACH. So feel free to hit me up on Steemit or Discord chat on @ejemai.
When a woman works, she gives her all because she wants perfection and we should encourage them.
Make the world a better place for someone today!
My dear @ejemai,
There you go again. Making me fall in love with your posts and writing.
Although I would use the word "strong" rather than "bossy", the definition you gave here covers the meaning strong would convey.
Being a "strong" woman myself, I find it hard when I see how it is difficult for men to accept me most of the time, even though I am usually a sweetheart :P
Thank you for loving us for who we are, bossy and all ;D
Thank you for stopping by and I am glad the message portrays the intent that women are beautiful inside out. I know many find it unacceptable when women who are doing what men are originally known to be good at are called bossy with a tone than they would the men. For this article, I love bossy women, and the dictionary definition ain't got nothing on me. hehehe
Hahaha. Thats the spirit I like.
Cheers :D
Hi @ejemai
Its me again! Thanks for the visit and upvotes.
Just wanted to let you know that I have been doing some curation work lately and I mentioned your post in my 6th curation post that is published today. I will be very happy if you would check it out and let me know what you think :D
Thank you doc. I am honored you find my article worth reading and yes, I love the ladies. The project is STACH, Steem Accelerator Hub and it is ready and so far, we have onboarded over 12 new Steemians through the Hub.
Hello my dear @ejemai, thanks you for the visit, comment and upvotes.
Please forgive my spelling mistake ;). I just corrected the project name.
I do like reading your posts and I will be happy if I can help even a little with my curation attempts :D
Thanks and nice work with the curation posts.
"Bossy" is pejorative because it means to give orders, to boss someone around, in other words to give commands. Leading and commanding are not the same thing. A leader takes initiative and provides direction, a commander demands compliance with his/her directives.
Even in the corporate world people are learning that command and control approaches to management are not as effective as other approaches*, so why would we want more of that among either gender?
* There are of course domains where command and control (thus being "bossy") is the better approach, but those are the exception rather than the rule
They are I agree, but then we are all likely to respond to different situations as humans and what some see as bossy may not necessarily be bossy. I think Amy's definition is more of what the society thinks when a woman is boss and when she has to do things as a leader.
A man is bossy but it is not seen as pejorative, why? because he is a man and is expected to be that way. I think the definition plays both ways and when I say bossy as I understand the Author's take, it means a woman who is not afraid to lead and not minding if she is called otherwise. My thought.
I don't believe your premise is correct. The word is widely recognized as a pejorative.
Almost all of the synonyms in the list above are pejorative, and most of those are associated with men.
I know it is pejorative and I am not disputing that. I mean for a man, it is not thrashed as such. But that word quickly comes into play when its a woman involved. I am just saying the definition works differently based on who is involved.
If a word is more commonly used for one gender than another, it doesn't mean that it's favored or disfavored in that gender.
There are at least three possible explanations for that phenomenon:
I think we are making the same point now, but maybe we are expressing it differently? It works normally on the male folks and on the female, well... a bit differently
well i was wondering which type of bossy u mean , sometimes some bossy can be annoying , like someone who wants everything their way , even if there way is not the right one. however in ur case where u mean like a leader i definetly support u, a women can be a reason to make her loved ones carry on not give up hope and be their supporter, she can be a good leader. and such types of women need to be more in the world
Thank you and that exactly is my point and I am not saying this because you are a moonpricess, but because that is the idea I had in my head when I picked this quote today. Its okay to be bossy and that is based on who is being bossy and how they are being bossy. The definition plays both ways.
Ure welcome :-)
boosy women, i like this tittle
You and me both bro.., you and me both!

Whether it is about a women or a man, there's always a presence of strong women(especially a mother) behind a successful story !
That is one very important reason too. Success stories have their bearing in strong characters. Thank you very much for your contribution.
I believe strength in a woman comes from her love and passion for what she's doing. That's what make them good leaders, been bossy comes from a certain level of arrogance, it works for some, but does the exact opposite most times...
Thank you, and like I mentioned the definition of 'bossy' plays both ways and women are good leaders.
