FIGHTING WITH YOUR FRIGHTENS
I’m not the author of my fears, but I sure feed them really well
There are numerous things in our environment that frighten us. We prefer to stay away from them and will go to any length to avoid them. But what if you could overcome your apprehensions? Is there a way to do it? Continue reading to find out.
Many critters in our environment make us tremble. Snakes, spiders, lizards, cockroaches, and other similar creatures are examples. Not all of us will be terrified of them all. I, on the other hand, despise lizards. I despise being in their presence or watching them move around our house. In fact, they terrify me.
We are terrified of not only these creatures, but also a slew of other dangers. Job interviews, sky diving, presentations, public speaking, and a variety of other activities that we would be participating in for the first time.
Would you think I've killed lizards and dumped them in the garbage? Yes, but how did I manage it? Simply by summoning the confidence and convincing myself, "Yes, I can do it," I was able to overcome my fears.
This is how we think about frightening issues. "I'm going to make a fool of myself. I'm not an expert on the subject. Others will be harsh in their criticisms of me. I don't think I'll be able to deal with it effectively. No, this isn't for the likes of me. I just can't seem to get myself to do it."
The goal is to let your fearful feelings flow until you gradually begin to think in more optimistic terms. For example, you might begin to think to yourself, "Hey, this isn't quite as horrible as I had anticipated. I'll see what I can do. I'm going to practice over and over. Then I'm sure I'll pass with flying colors." The more you repeat this thinking, the stronger you will become, and you will be able to face your fear and do it.
We should all do more of the things that scare us. It's not about being fearless; it's about conquering your fears and becoming courageous enough to act on them.
Are there any people you know that are afraid of something? Telling them about your own experiences and strategies will help them out. We can create a community where people can conquer their anxieties, achieve their goals, and fly. In that regard, we require a rich globe. And it may all begin with you spreading the word.
