HAVE A DESIRE TO ASPIRE SO AS NOT TO EXPIRE
A man that fails to prepare is a man that wants to dwell in failure because preparation is the stepping stone to success
Have you ever thought of the life after school?
Do you think life is always a bed of roses?
Do you think mum and dad will always be there for you at all time?
Do you think life is all about luck?
If you ponder on all these questions, you will see the reason why you need to sit down and prepare. Until i finished my university and got into the outside world, I took life the way it came. All that mattered to me was being a classy lady while on campus. I wanted to use the most expensive bags, hairs, jewelleries e.t.c. Sincerely, i cannot really place my finger on the particular place where i was getting this money but it was just coming.
I forgot about the need to save. I forgot the fact that i needed somewhere i could fall back to when the need arise just because i was getting the money when i wanted it. At this point in my life, if only i could go back in time, i would have saved that money and i know how far i would have gone by now.
Your future should be an imagination from your present.
By saying this, i don't mean you should dwell in a fool's paradise. We all wish for so many things but the difference between various individuals is the ability to work towards that dream. In life, you should always have a desire to aspire in other not to expire.
The society we found ourselves has made it look so bad to the extent that we youth believes in recieving salaries when we start working. In Nigeria and some other parts of the world, what most parents believe in is that when you go to school and get good grades, you will get a good job and then a good salary and this will make you live a good life. This process is the same thing we pass down to our children and this continues. Before we know it, it has already become a rat race where we all keep going round the cycles.
Have you ever thought of the fact that salary is an hindrance towards pursuing one's dream?
The answer to that question is a capital yes. When you depend on just earning salary, your dreams becomes limited. The great men you see today are men of calibre that never depended on earning salary. They were able to sit down and picture what they aspired to become. They were only able to achieve it as a result of optimum preparation.
A wise man once asked a question. If you were given a cutlass to cut down a tree for seven days, what will you first do?
The question seemed so weird to me because i felt if you give me a cutlass to cut a tree, then definitely i would cut it and so what was the need for such question? He gave me time to think more but when he saw that nothing was coming forth, he told me the answer;
He said if i was given a cutlass to cut down a tree for seven days, then i should ensure that i sharpen the cutlass for 6 days and then cut it on the 7 day.
That is called optimum preparation. You should always prepare for the things you want to achieve because you dont just grab success by the road side.
Finally, you should have the mindset of an Entrepreneur. An entrepreneur is someone who commands labour rather than being a servant to labour. He is the boss of his own. There is no harm when you start from the scratch in achieving what you want. Tomorrow is what will tell. A pure water seller today, can become a pure water factory owner tomorrow. All that matters is
- Patience
- Hardwork
- Consistency
YOU CAN BE WHATEVER YOU WANT TO BE
