Cannot trust the bots...

So, we are living in a world in which more and more is automatized and things happen by themselves, and so is true about the upvote bots here on Steemit and elsewhere. But, the question is, can we really trust them? Sometimes problems occur and suddenly they do not do as they were asked. Maybe it is a bug or a machine that crashes, and as a result, the server isn't running, and then the bot cannot do its thing. And yes, that happened yesterday, and it will happen again.

But, does that mean that we cannot trust them. In a way, I would say yes... but then again, I probably trust the bot more than I trust myself, because if I am doing everything, there is a much bigger chance of doing a mistake than if I trust the bot with the task.

So here comes the challenge, as computers are more trustworthy and exact than we are, and they have a better memory, then how can me make them as trustworthy as possible, with as little chance of making mistakes as possible?
