Its All About Me Monochrome Monday
Greetings Steemers!
I Cannot Believe its Monday Again!
Please do me a huge favor and put your links down in the comment section. I will be sure to tip them!
Guess I'll Call This One: "Guns"
I did this shot for a post tomorrow. I think it is a bit film noir inspired. I like the way it gives just a little sinister edge to the shot.
Super easy setup
Soft box pointed to ceiling for background ambient light.
For direct lighting I use a cheap clamp lamp with a CFL bulb on a stand and softened by vellum paper. For God's sake don't put vellum near a halogen or incandescent bulb. Be smart and don't burn your house down.
Hacker!
I used the same type of setup for my hacker shoot that has sold over on Twenty20.

Also for my old profile pic.
Thanks for stopping by!

Be well, everybody!
Kindest regards,

Very nice @vimma I like the contrast on the water's surface that fades gently up to the corners of the photo.
Thanks @countrygirl! We had foggy weather for a few days here and I decided to go and check out that place while I was out shooting. Turned out the fog is thicker on the lake so I was in luck. Even better was the decision to climb down right to the beach rocks and shoot pictures from there as I suppose not even the locals view that place from this angle daily.
Good thing you didn't slip!! That would be me....for sure.....in the freezing water :) I love the fog...and mist....it just makes things soft.
Hehe yes! It’s that (in)famous leaving the comfort zone thar’s mentioned and once again it paid off!
I was so hyped of the weather and that I had the time to be out and about so I decided tho climb the fence (not nearly as heroic as it may sound) and lower the perspective for the shots.
It’s these monents of accomplishing things that matter to myself why I do this. And then obviously if somebody else gets something out of the material I release as well is another victory!
Sleepy time for a while. I’ll see if I can find that fountain picture I mentioned earlier, @countrygirl
Thanks for posting the link.
Hello @old-guy-photos I found you and your post today and I'd like to participate. I don't know if I did everything right, but here is my post: Black & White in Pencil Edition - The Giving and Receiving Movement. Sorry if I used any wrong tag and I add that I had a great time taking the pictures!
You did it all perfectly :) Upped.
Hey @old-guy-photos .. it looks like you are preparing to go to a gun fight or something. With that serious face in black and white, it looks like you are in serious business which gives these photos a dramatic effect with full of emotions.
