Thanks to the blockchains visibility, everyone can take a look at other users wallets to see what they are doing - and if they are doing something better than you.

Well, at least I do that and when I stumbled over an - as usually exquisite - article by @sweetsssj, I decided to take a look at her properly filled wallet.

Let's just hope she doesn't get hurt by all the coins falling in her direction..

To my surprise, it's not just the posts that make her rich, but also users who keep sending her money!

Apparently, a lot of users assume that @sweetsssj is/has an upvote bot running on her account. Other whales like @jerrybanfield do that. You can get a nice upvote from him when you send him some of your SBDs.

@sweetsssj on the other hand advertises this nowhere and I think she generally stays out of the Steemit politics. (A wise decision^^)

Despite all that, she gets a ton of upvote requests by users as you can see in the screenshot. Just alone for the last week until yesterday I counted more than 60(!) transfers of small amounts and in some cases they have sent her quite a lot - especially if you consider the current exchange rates.

11 days ago (Jan 1st 2017), one Steem was worth about 3 US-$ and 8 days ago it was worth more than 8 US-$ - quite an expensive mistake!

And from the special snowflakes department..

Most users do try the normal bot thing. They send an amount plus the link to the post in the memo. But some users can't even get that done and add an explanation to the link in the memo (which as far as I know doesn't work with upvote bots). You can see on the example by @networker5 who should rename himself into @steemian0 (because zero):

I wonder what kept her away from the upvote: The smirky smilie or the appropriating angel. And also from the past week there was some really special stuff like:

.. which begs the question which one, since I have more than 100 posts that @sweetsssj could bless with an upvote, or..

Sure, why not. It came with 0.01 Steem, so I bet @sweetsssj has spend a lot of her time with it.

But that's not all...

She really seems to have some dedicated fans who express their gratitude by sending her:

Although, that was 0.001 SBD and probably a very cheap attempt to get attention, but there were also two really nice transfers she received by @mrblu:

I have to admit: I really envy both, @mrblu for his generosity and @sweetsssj for having found the pot at the end of the rainbow;-)

All that during a time when Steem and SBD were both valued above 6 US-$.

A rather sad case: @celow

@Celow tried it too. He sent both, Steem and SBD to get the attention of @sweetsssj and her upvote, but she didn't react.

And then he sent her some more SBD to tell her that she forgot to upvote him.

And when she didn't react, he sent her some Steem to tell her about her fauxpas.

And because she still hasn't upvoted despite the remainder, he sent her even more SBD.

I didn't follow back to where he started it with an upvote request , but it must have been several weeks ago and since then I would say he pretty much doubled up the amount.

Maybe someone feels for him and sends him an explanation of what is going on.

@sweetsssj doesn't mind the Steem shower and keeps smiling in her own dignified way - and I can't blame her for that!

In total, just alone over the past 7 days, she received almost exactly 100 SBD and Steem in upvote requests, complaints about missing upvotes, admiration statements and cheap attempts to get her attention.

If you take 7 US-$ as average equivalent for the Steem&SBD, that's a whopping 700 US-$ extra income per week - or 100 US-$ per day!

... and all that just because of a simple misunderstanding. tsss...

What do you think about it? Did you make that mistake too in the past? Should @sweetsssj send the money back - or should she maybe start an upvote service?
