How To Grow Your Page & Make Money On Instagram. ( its actually very easy )

This is our guide to making money on instagram and growing into a large page.

We have a large instagram account (600,000) this currently makes around £1500-£2000 per month on a bad month.

Here is how we did it and continue to do it

The way money is made on Instagram comes from other Instagram pages, usually business but sometimes pages that are similar to your own pages asking for either a shout out or product promotion. fees charge for these posts vary between accounts on a number of factors from page size and engagement , who the owner/owners of the page and what your are either selling or want posted.

Now Instagram pages usually charge more for businesses to place an ad as these are there to make money as opposed to a shout for a similar page wanting to gain followers along with helping similar pages which can create working relationships that benefit you like we have with the lad bible on Instagram.

Now to start with your need to grow your account as no one is paying you for an ad with 3 followers ( your mum/dad, husband or wife or any random friend you may have ) These might like your pictures but wont bring in the dollar.

The best way to grow your account at the start is to post pictures and videos ( DUH ) but i mean a lot of pictures. if your a meme page then lots of generally funny memes. These do not have to be your own memes or pictures but try to credit where possible and your own memes or content is always best.

The next big tip for the start of your page is follow some big meme pages in the low hundreds down to 10,000 but not hundreds of them of course just a few that can change if you get nowhere with some of them as some wont bother with you.

What you need to do is start to like and comment on their posts to engage with them to get noticed by them which will then lead to them speaking to you after a while and liking and commenting on your posts which will help you grow.

Once you start to gain followers and reach a good number such as 10,000 or more the trick is to then start posting your own memes which by this time you should have a good idea about what your audience finds funny and is popular on Instagram at the time.

The next trick is to try and get yourself into like and comment groups or similar things on Instagram. These are group chats between big pages who like and comment on each others posts that they add into the group chat. They can and usually shout each other out on alternating days so you could have a few pages of similar or bigger follower counts shouting you out once a week or something like that which really helps. A shout from our page can gain anywhere from 800 followers to a few thousands each time as an example. Now you can pay to get a big page to shout you but this requires money and is not a dead certain to get you lots and lots of followers.

These steps need to be continued until you reach a high follower count such as 100,000 or similar depending on how your page is at the time for its likes and daily follower increase that you have. ( Social blade helps with this ) This is the magic number we started doing paid ads and posts for business and other pages.

We started charging $30 to $50 a post at roughly 100,000 followers but it was slow at the start which is good for your page but not for your wallet. We now get upwards of $150 dollars per post with bulk post purchases often made of 5 or more posts over an agreed period.

Following this method at this stage and by getting in groups and agreements with other pages for shouts will help you grow while taking on paid postings which are very simple. The person paying for the post sends you the pictures and captions. All you have to do is post what they want and send them a screen shot of the posts insights which is a breakdown of views, impressions, likes and comments after 24 hours ( Post are usually paid to be on the page for 24 hours or an agreed time, we do 24 hour posts, some keep them on longer others remove at the 24 hour point )

If you continue like this in less then 18 months you could have half a million followers. It took us 8 months to hit 100,000 but we had not figured out this method at the time. Within 6 months of hitting 100,000 we had hit 500,000 followers and made over £13,000 in revenue from Instagram ads.
