RE: Crypto Craziness: BTC Drops on Fork Concerns, Steem Skyrockets and Dash Surges Above $100
Hey Jeff,
I'm still trying to understand what this all means for the future of bitcoin. So to hard-fork or split the existing bitcoin core into two Blockchains with one still maintaining Btc, and the other with Btu, is a move for the better? Then there is Segwit which is a soft fork mechanism that also assists with scalability, robustness of the Blockchain and/or desired by mining community? Stupid question on my part but if they split the block chain, do they split the 21,000,000 btcs allocated between the two block chains equally or am I off-base?
On another note what's your take on ripple? Do you see any promise with their efforts on a payment transaction network? Thanks.
