Mercari inc is a new "flea market" app that was recently featured in Bloomberg and has been described as "One of the Year's Best Start-ups" which filled me with optimism and led me to listing an item almost immediately.
Mercari inc is a Japanese start-up that is said to be valued at $3.7 billion and has delivered a 149 x return to early investors so seems quite attractive from an investment standpoint though i am more interested in its practical use for now.Source

I have experienced several apps/platforms for buying and selling including Shpock, eBay and Gumtree and had a lot of interest initially though my experience of using eBay was not a pleasant one to say the least as i was approached numerous times by obvious scammers so i hope that Mercari will prove to be a breath of fresh air so to speak.
