Levels of consciousness ( part 3)

So, there remains the last platform - ananda-maya. Ananda-maya is what we all want more than anything else in the world. For this we live , for this we are doing something, for this we make family, for this we are getting divorced from the family, for this we are friends, for this we are killing and deceiving. All we do in order to reach this level. So much it is attractive. For this we can sacrifice anything, everything that was listed before.

What is Ananda-maya? It is the energy of boundless happiness, the energy of love, which any living being strives for and naturally submits to it. You can conquer with love anyone, any living being. Love is not sentimentality, not the satisfaction of the senses. For example, give a smell , show some attractive shape. No it's not that. Love is self-organizing energy. A person does not need another science. You just need to find this level, which includes all the previous ones: correct behavior, correct thinking, health, and the ability to independently live in this world. Ananda-maya means total, unlimited happiness within, in the heart of a person. Vedas say that this is our nature. We are the part of Ananda, so we are looking for it. Veda gives two names to a living being. One name is a jiva (means one who is alive.) Any living being is a jiva. A bird, a tree in the street, a dog, a man are all jiva.

Life is what about us. Another name of a living being is Purusha, one who seeks happiness, enjoyment. He j lives only for this. Dogs run around, birds fly, trees grow, people actively act only to find their happiness. We are told that we must finish school, then get higher education, then start any activity, then make a career. Thus, we will fulfill all our desires: we will receive money, a position, we will have a family, children. It will be happiness.

I wanna share a story. One man laid under a fruit tree and did nothing. And another person was traveling along the road that passed near this place. He was a trader. In one place he sold a goods, and now was coming back home with money. For the whole year he traveled so much and saw the same thing that a man lies under a tree and does nothing. He envied and was angry: "Now, slacker! I work here, but he does nothing. Only eats apples . " Once he could not stand it and said:

  • Well, what are you lying here? I've been traveling for a year, but you're lying here and doing nothing. Who are you, anyway? Is there anything you can do?

  • What do you want me to do ? The man asks.

  • Look, there are so many fruits above . Collect, go to the market and sell.

  • And then what?

"You'll get the money."

  • And then what?

  • With this money you will buy the goods, you will sell again. There will be more money.

"Well, and then what?"

"Then more money."

"Well, and then, then?"

"Then you'll build a house." You will have your own house.

  • And what's next?

"And then you'll buy furniture, a car." You'll marry. Children will be.

  • And what's next? the man asked.

"Then you'll lie on the couch and do nothing."

  • So I'm doing nothing now! Why should I do this, if I still do nothing? If the goal of life is simply to do nothing, if happiness is in it, then I can do nothing right now. Why then all these efforts? What is the point of all this activity?

It is clear that the meaning of life is to find ananda, happiness. And this energy of happiness naturally attracts to the person all other energies. Wise people, thinking people, healthy people - all are attracted by happiness. Let's convert this, a little bit. There are different types of people that correspond to different levels of consciousness. It's mentioned above. But it's not so easy to happiness. Very attractive, but not so simple. Now let's explain why, what's the obstacle. The thing is that a person has an innate propensity for ananda-maya. At the lowest level, it is called karma.

Karma is work. People who act for the sake of the fruits of labor are called karmis. Why does a person work? What is the reason for his activities? He wants either money or fame. He needs something in return, just so he will not work. The higher the fee, the more active it becomes. The lower the fee, the more passive it is. If there is no board at all - he is not inclined to work. This is karmi consciousness. Karmi is a civilization of people who create conditions for enjoyment. What are they interested in? To use the fruits of one's labor in order to enjoy life. Therefore, you need stores, things - something that you can spend earned. This is their happiness. This is their ananda. They are building such a civilization. Materialistic civilization.
