Some seem to believe that I am saying the Pres. Should do nothing with regard to the US/China trade imbalances, they are hearing what they want. I specifically said the President needs a new plan. He is attempting to utilize an old strategy for which he should have implemented at the time. The current environment is now a totally different environment with many new pieces- (I covered this in my last video). Moreover, China holds vast US debt and dollar reserves as leverage, and may use these US Liabilities to fight an asymmetrical trade war. The President should find a way to use this against China, it will not be easy. All I am saying is the President needs a new plan. Raising Tariffs did not work the first time.. why he would expect a different outcome by doing the same thing again is frankly not smart.. I cannot imagine anyone can argue this...

IF the President could find a strategy that would "weaponize" the vast US Debt and US Dollar reserves which China holds against them, he could literally dictate a "deal" with China. This will not be a simple task, but it would work.
