Why you should buy local? Amazon Prices vv Local Prices

in #money6 years ago

Giant companies like Amazon brought many benefits to us while shopping.

Buying something with one-click is super easy.

Checking each review, pictures, and product descriptions about the item we search could support our decision-making process.

Comparing prices and descriptions is also possible.

However, is it really the case? Can we get the best items thanks to giant online sale platforms?

The answer may be "yes" in some cases if you are getting an item from a big company selling online, but the answer is absolutely "no" if you are getting an item of a start-up.

Let us give you an example; we are an art company selling local and online. Amazon is a giant network to advertise our artworks. However, we cannot offer the best price for our Amazon sales.

Because Amazon collects many different fees from the sales of items. Let's count them one by one: sending the thing to Amazon warehouse, storage fee, advertising fee, shipping fee, amazon fee from each sale, monthly member fee, and the list goes on.

While we ask $59 for an item on Amazon, we request $25 when you get the item locally. Also, the price is no more than $35 including shipping and packaging costs when you get the item directly from different states.

So, one simple rule from the sellers "BUY LOCAL, SAVE BIG!!!"
