digging deeper into passive incomes.

in #money7 years ago (edited)

A few weeks ago some users posted about earncrypto. After digging around, I learned that there is a ton of free-well almost free-money for people mostly in the USA. As a category it is called passive income. A word of advice is to make sure you have an unlimited internet plan, and and the cellphones only use wifi. One user claims to make $1800 a month just from using 5 computers and now about 70 smart phones. Basically $60 a day doing nothing but letting machines play ads [so turn ad blockers off], with each machine making less than a buck a day. Not bad, but not good enough to replace the day job either.

The $1800 figure is likely unrealistic without referrals-which most people won't have. For most people, including myself, 70 smart phones is out of the question too.

So after I got my christmas shopping done, I finally purchased my first and second smartphone to explore this matter further. i ordered 2 $20 phones (lg optimus zone 3) (with wifi) on wal-mart, they didn't say (that I could see) on the website that you needed to buy a service plan to unlock them as the package says. i started to think i had to root them, but to use the wifi ON THIS PHONE you didn't need a plan at all so i was safe. Google play needed to be updated, that required allowing unsecured installations...of all things. But finally i got things up and running and could proceed. I think my next purchased will be a single $10 phone before buying multiple phones again as I am still a novice at this, and want to limit my exposure to mistakes.

After a 2 week hiatus, earnhoney started rewarding for me again. So I basically have 2 computers and 2 smartphones going at it [passive income], and trying some things.

If you want to get started try earnhoney (see link below). Assuming their affiliate, discovery media, isn't being a pain in the butt that is easily $2-3 a day on one device. i have heard claims that you can go as high as $24 a day with multiple devices without a full ban, but i am not going to test multiple devices for a while as to avoid softbans. When discovery media stops paying it simply says your ip is not available. so whether that is a softban, or a lack of advertisers, is often unknown. I figure the best way to determine this in the short term is to try one device, and see if it goes quiet on its own. But yeah, $2-3 a day per device; That's like making $700-1000 a year just for letting an old [but not too old] pc play in the basement or something if everything goes right. Still a downtime of 2 weeks for unknown reasons hurts a more realistic estimate.

Lot's of sites use engageme.tv as a provider of content. I used two of these for crypto. The cash ones can pay better, and earnably is a favorite. I tried to get earnably to run on yet a 3rd computer (a mac) (the max for engageme.tv), but the machine was too old, and the machine is too old for modern browsers. The engageme programs can come in desktop or smart phone formats. The PC ones tend to be a pain. As they can sometimes stop playing, or go blank. Once in a rare while there is a capcha. With true passive earning there should be no babysitting. offer toro offers a variant (one device), but a popup window has to be the top window. In anotherwords, you can't use it while working on your working computer. But that is fine if you have another pc.

And that get's me to "perk" and "rewardable". Rewardable in its desktop form eats up all my ram and crashes over time. Virtually useless. However, my two smart phones can run the without any maintenance. So as of this time they are ideal for passive revenue. There is a claim that you can run a max of 7 devices per rewardable app. However, the daily max can be reached in much less. Per smart phone, i am getting somewhere between 36-50 cents a day. I know that sounds like a joke; but even 80(phones).36(cents/phone)30(days/month) is 864 bucks a month. Obviously the average is much lower that. Perk tv is a very popular app. On the laptop it'll run for a few hours, then do the oh snap crash, or sometimes stop and demand a capcha. So it is a big pain on the pc. When I try it on the smart phones, all I get is a spinning wheel and black window. other people can use it fine, just for some unknown reason I can't. There are other perk apps i could use, but it makes more sense to use rewardables at this point until i grow my farm further.

I have tried others things including inbox dollar. It used to pay well years ago. You used to be able to watch videos on it with a $2 daily cap. today it seems to be more of a pain, lucky if you could get near a quarter, and lots of capchas and crashes on the pc. i have yet to try it on the phone. if i remember right, a bunch of phishy websites started appearing too. Needless to say, i am not using the desktop version again.

Many people like swagbugs for videos on their phones. But it is 10 cents per app a day, and they take hours to max, and then you have to switch apps. Not to mention is likes to go black. So swagbucks is a lot of maintenance for such a small gain. The device limit is one, but many use 1 per app. Users justify using swagbucks through the monthly bonuses. But for a single phone, you'd have to babysit it a lot-That isn't passive earning. So that is kind of after your farm is near complete and you are trying to squeeze out whatever you can. And even then, it can take 100-200 days before profit is seen-and is a low priority. And worse, it is a possible TOS violation depending on who actually owns the apps for those who use more than 1 device.

Other popular ones are yoolotto and checkpoint. i have yet to try them out. I likely will after I grow my farm beyond the rewardables app.

I am not saying babysitting is a bad thing. i mean, if you have 70 devices it might pay off-especially if you are unemployed and need to prevent the s*** from hitting the fan or a college kid looking for college essentials (food, rent, books). For others, to really make this work you want it to be able to run at least for several hours at a time or all the time-So you can work your 9-5 job, and have a nice secondary income.

If you want to get your feet wet in this stuff, by all means start with earnhoney on an unused pc. Don't go all in, because results may vary greatly-especially based upon geography. You might not see a thing in the event you might share an ip with another person at your apartment or university who also tries this. Start small and gradually work up; try to let it pay for its own growth to limit exposure to losses.

So I found out that i can let videos play on my pc from swagbucks through the swagbutton. unlike the apps, it seems fairly stable....but it is extremely slow slow slow.
I am not sure what the daily limit it, yet. So it may be worth having one smartphone running a swagbucks app daily, to try to hit the daily bonuses, enough to initiate the month bonuses. Assuming 30 sb (cents) a day to hit a bonus [it can go up to 50], that is about 9 bucks before bonuses. Tack on 10% from the dailies. that is 9.90. And if you do that for a whole month, an extra $3. So roughly $13 quasi-passive from swagbucks.
I am reading that you can speed up the swag apps by selecting short videos to your favorite. Well, maybe when it is time to upgrade the farm again.
