WARNING

A very popular brand of Talcum Baby Power, produced and marketed by one of the world's largest pharmaceutical conglomerate,  may be responsible for my wife's ovarian cancer.

For 26 years and almost every night, I say my wife pouring the irresistible sweet scenting Talcum Baby Powder all over her body.

A few years ago she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.  She underwent surgery and received several radiation treatments.

Thank God she survived. But her life is no longer the same. She lost the hair on her head, her immune system has been severely weakened by the chemotherapy she had to undergo, and now almost every week she has a new ailment.

I'm so very angry because there are millions of people all over the world just like my wife who have poured this dangerous Talcum Baby Power on themselves, or had it poured on them when they were only an infant.

Apparently, the manufacture and marketer of this innocuous carcinogen knew for a very long time that Talcum Baby Power caused cancer but kept it as a very tight secret.

But why didn't they do that?

In three words: GREED and FEAR

It is no secret, greed and fear are two  vey powerful motivators.

If the secret was revealed, massive wealth would have evaporated into very thin air.  But now that the secret is out and Judges in St. Louis, MO have ordered the payment of $127 millions in damages to two families, lawyers all over the world are dancing and drinking the most expensive liquor because they have seen fresh manna falling from the sky.

My fellow Steemitites, you too can partake in the fresh manna.  Short the stocks of the Talcum Baby Power manufacturer and make the your big gest donut, ever!

I'm sorry your wife got cancer. I remember my mom using baby powder. I tried to use it once and found it to be too messy to be worth it. I didn't know about the cancer connection, but after reading your article, I'm glad I didn't use it.

"It has been suggested that talcum powder might cause cancer in the ovaries if the powder particles (applied to the genital area or on sanitary napkins, diaphragms, or condoms) were to travel through the vagina, uterus, and fallopian tubes to the ovary."
"IARC classifies talc that contains asbestos as “carcinogenic to humans.”
"Based on the lack of data from human studies and on limited data in lab animal studies, IARC classifies inhaled talc not containing asbestos as “not classifiable as to carcinogenicity in humans.”

It is still safe to use something that doesn't have asbestos in it. Asbestos have long been known to cause cancer and I guess in the modern time many have stopped using it in their products. If you see any products that contain asbestos refrain from using it.

Thanks for you response.

im really sorry to hear about your wifes medical condition.

THat said, i dont really think this is a secret. I don't even follow tort law very closely, and i heard about the massive class action suit thats apparently gaining momentum,.

Thanks for your empathy and sympathy.
In my opinion, this cause has the potential to be as big as the one brought against the big tobacco companies.

Thanks. I've done the same for you.
