I have seen some families where there is lack of love in the family, the reason for this is because the Parents have not learned to set priorities right.

They believe that they need lot of money to take care of the family, so they work throughout the day and get nannies to take care of their kids.

I have heard of stories of families where both parents go to work as early as 06:00am and return home late at night at 09:00pm when the kids are fast asleep. Weekends are usually out of it, because the kids are taken to spend time with their grand parents.

I know of a girl who has a boy friend whom she cherish so much, she was just sixteen(16) when I meet her and by then she was already living with the boy, her parents usually sent her school fee to her but she will in turn give everything to her so called lover, he introduced her into cigarette smoking and weed and she is now an expert in it.

The boy beats her up whenever he gets drunk and rapes her sometimes thereby leaving her hurt. He sees it as an opportunity to sleep with other girls whenever she is having her menstrual cycle. I was really angry at the fact a pretty girl could allow herself to get this abused and humiliated.

I was really eager to know what the problem could be, but the response I received from her was that :he was the first person to ever show her love because her parents were to busy always working before she came to school and this lover of her was the first person to mention the word I love you to her and he made her feel loved, so she gave him all that she had including her body and her virginity.

She said to me, this is not the type of life I want for myself, I want to be a better person, but I am stuck here now not having any where to go from here, at least he showed me the meaning of love that my parents could not show to me. He spends quality time with me unlike my parents, so I think I will just keep forgiving and loving him.

It is necessary that parents learn to spend good times with their kids, to avoid societal misshaping.
